that all machinery frombalertothe box truck to the forkliftare inworkingorderandare beingrepaired
inan orderlyfashion whennecessary.Ialsohad to schedule andplan/route furniture pick-upsfor
customers,ensure 3otherstoreswere receivingproduct, warehouseequipment, andsuppliesfrom
overflowof mystore. Some of my successesincluded continuinga3 percentgrowthaverage to goal
everymonth, maintainingagrade A forsafetyinspections,andkeepingahighlyproductivework
environmentwithaverylowturnoverof employees.
Before GoodwillIndustries,Kohl’swasmyemployer forfive years. Ibeganasa part-time
associate at the Greensborolocation.Iquicklymovedtoa full-time position,servingfirstasMen’s
DepartmentSupervisor,thenlaterasa DepartmentSupervisorinthe Junior’s,JewelryandShoe
Departments,respectively.Mysupervisorsandmembersof mymanagementteam, includingaTerritory
Manager, recognizedandappreciatedmyexcellentperformance inall departments,butwere most
impressedwithmyworkinthe Men’sDepartment,andIwas calledonto returnas supervisornumerous
timesinmyemploymentthere,due to my outstandingpresentationof merchandiseandmyabilityto
adhere to“best practices”,updates,setsandreflows.Aftermyrelocation fora promotion toDurham,I
tookon a positionasOperationsAreaSupervisor,whereI usedmyskillsof flexibilityandtime
management,aswell asmy ability tomotivate,trainandcommunicate welltoleadateam of 20 plus
associates ina warehouse andretail setting.Some of mydutiesinthispositionincludedmanaging
variousteamsandindividuals suchas the Truck Unloadteam, Merchandisingteam, the Visual
Merchandiser,the AdSetSupervisor,the ReplenishmentSupervisor,the Housekeepingteam, the
Maintenance team,aswell asthe OperationsSupervisor.Otherdailyresponsibilitiesincludeperforming
Cash Office duties,verifyingdepositsfromCashOffice, opening/closingduties, loggingandretrieving
informationinanAS400 computersystemandRFsystem, as well ascommunicatingwiththe District
Manager throughoutthe dayregardingsales,credit,andthe “Kohl’sRewards”program.
