BOGE US helps Georgia brewery make history
BOGE C 30 air compressor moves Red Hare Brewing Company’s cans down the line
CITY – No, BOGE US can’t help you score free beer. But the company did recently make their
mark in the trendy world of microbrewery when its BOGE C 30 air compressor made it possible
for Red Hare Brewing Company - located in Marietta, Georgia – to become the first brewery in
Georgia to can their beer.
Canned beer is not exactly new. In fact, this year marks the 80th anniversary of canned beer
being available in the U.S. But for independent microbreweries like Red Hare Brewing
Company that specialize in craft beer, adding a canning line is a major endeavor.
According to BOGE sales representative Kurt Schoeller, the German engineered BOGE C 30 air
compressor was the perfect choice for Red Hare.
“Craft breweries are comparatively small so a quiet operating model like the C 30 that requires
a small footprint means Red Hare could maximize their production line space. The model also
offers significant energy savings and prolonged compressor life, which is very important for a
young business that wants to introduce innovation into their market.”
A forward-thinking business like Red Hare has very few options when they are competing
against giant breweries. BOGE US’s production line solution allowed Red Hare to automate as
they expand. The brewery recently began distributing outside of Georgia and they are the
world’s first brewery to use a new high-recycled content aluminum can.
