2. Step 1: Unscrew Retaining Screw
• Remove the cistern lid and
place it aside in a safe place.
• Unscrew the retaining screw
on the syphon actuation lever
(the back of the toilet flush
handle) and unhook the wire
connector.

3. Step 2: Remove Plastic Retaining
Nut
• Hold the handle in one hand
while loosening the retaining
plastic nut with an adjustable
wrench, then remove the nut.

4. Step 3: Remove Handle
• Remove the old flush handle,
lever and wire connector.

5. Step 4: Insert New Handle
• Hook the wire connector onto
the lever and pull it upwards
slightly to tension the
syphoning mechanism. Insert
the new handle through the
toilet and holding the handle
at the correct flush start
position, push the square axle
into the lever.
• Tighten the lever retaining
screw and the handle retaining
nut.

6. Step 5: Test New Handle
• Replace the cistern lid and
check that the toilet flushes
correctly, and that the handle
is in the correct position.
