2. Pharmacy Connect, when deployed alongside Plexus
TG’s Anesthesia Touch, utilizes industry-standard
HL7 messaging formats to facilitate communication
between existing pharmacy infrastructure and
Anesthesia Touch. This provides anesthesia and
pharmacy staff peace of mind around controlled
substance reconciliation.
Pharmacy Connect leverages existing pharmacy
infrastructure, including medication carts, to
communicate dispense, return and waste information
to Anesthesia Touch. Safety features integrated into
Anesthesia Touch are configured with hard stops
to prevent providers from closing the case without
properly documenting administered medications,
returning unused vials and properly wasting
controlled substances.
By providing pharmacy with usage, transaction,
and variance reports, Pharmacy Connect increases
visibility into the operating rooms and allows
pharmacy staff to quickly and easily identify any
discrepancies on part of the anesthesia staff.
Pharmacy Connect’s medication management

Label System® (SLS), which produces a full-color Joint
