1. How to Make a Referral to Manhattan Justice Opportunities
Manhattan Justice Opportunities offers social services, connections to resources, and community
service programming as alternative sentences. Manhattan Justice staff are present in court and are
accepting walk-in appointments at our office at 80 Centre Street Monday-Friday.
Program participants can engage in programming either in-person at our office or remotely.
Participants who engage in remote programming must have access to a functioning phone.
Referring a Case to Manhattan Justice
1. The legal parties agree to a disposition or pre-plea engagement involving Manhattan Justice
services.
2. The defense attorney fills out an online referral form at manhattanATI.nyc. This confidential
form provides Manhattan Justice with basic case information (docket #, adjournment date,
mandate length, etc.) and contact information. Filling out the referral form is vital; without it, we will
not be able to contact your client to begin their mandated services.
3. The defense attorney connects their client to a Manhattan Justice Resource Coordinator:
● If a Resource Coordinator is present in court, counsel should introduce the client to the
Resource Coordinator, who will schedule them for their intake appointment.
● If a Resource Coordinator is not in court, counsel should instruct their client to call during
business hours or come to our office at 80 Centre Street (Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm) to
schedule an intake appointment.
If you have any questions about referrals, please email MJO_ATI@nycourts.gov and/or reach out to
one of our Resource Coordinators (contact info below).
