WARNINGThe Reaping is upon us, and soon it will be time to
compete in the deadly Arena. Tributes must compete
on behalf of their District in an attempt to attain the
title of Champion! Prepare your fastest, strongest,
and smartest Tributes in the name of victory.
The Greek Week Hunger Games will occur from
April 17th to April 24th.
All forms must be submitted online and money paid
to: Eventbrite
by Friday, April 1st.

3. Overall Impression Follows Rules
Rules
Banners must follow the requirements listed:
1. Must not exceed the canvas given.
2. Must have the name of the respective District on it.
3. Must display the Greek Week 2016 Theme: The Hunger Games.
4. Banner must be submitted at the Presentation of the Tributes.
5. No vulgarity.
6. No profanity.
7. No nudity.
All banners must be of good taste. Use good judgement. Districts that fail to comply with this
rule or deemed distasteful will be required to take their banner down and will be disqualified
from the event. The Greek Week Co-Chairs have the right to deem any material inappropriate.

Rules
1) A minimum of 5 active members from each
chapter must compete.
2) Performances, songs and costuming must be
?family appropriate?.
3) Each group must remain on the stage for the
duration of the performance once the routine has
started.
4) No one participating in the event may consume
any alcoholic beverages or drugs before or during
the event.
5) Each chapter will be given 5-7 minutes for their
act (Can be less than 5 but must not be more than 7)
6) The entire act must be done using no vocals from
the groups, strictly lip-syncing. (pre-recorded
vocals are allowed)
7) The theme for the week must be incorporated
somehow.
8) All songs must be on a CD
9) If song selection is a mash-up, songs may overlap
between groups. However, if there is just one song
being used, it is on a first come first serve basis.
10) Don?t be afraid to look silly. The more fun you
allow yourself to have the more fun we will have

* The first round will consist of two male and
two female contestants.
* The four competing will all be from separate
Districts (Ex: Round 1 Contestants: ? ? ? , ?? ,

* The second round will consist of the
remaining four Districts (two male and two
female).
* The male and female winners from the first
two rounds will then compete in the final
round.
* During the final round, the Districts must
use their second representative who did not
participate in the previous round.
3) Spectators are NOT allowed to assist teams
at all, if so you shall be disqualified.
4) If there are an odd number of teams. One
team will have a bye, and they will be drawn
randomly.

Event Description
This event will include two
representatives from each District. One
of which can include the District
president for an extra 5 points. There will
be three rounds of ?Jeopardy!?
1. One Tribut, in good standing, from each District must compete. Assistance will be allowed.
2. Each Tribute will be judged in four categories: (Costume relating to the Tribute?s District, Group
Dance, Talent, Question/Formal Wear.)
3. Talents must last longer than 2 minutes, but no longer than 6 minutes.
4. Each Tribute will answer two questions during the Formal Wear portion (one serious and one
entertaining).
5. Everything required for the show (music, costumes, etc.) must be brought to the dress rehearsal
time and must be approved by the second practice.
6. All Tributes will participate in the Group Dance. The dance will be taught at two practices. If a
Tribute misses a practice, it is their responsibility to get help from either another Tribute or the
choreographer.
7. No participant may consume drugs or alcohol before the event.
8. The winners of the competition will be declared the Champion of the 2016 Greek Week Hunger
Games, which will be announced at the Hypnotist on Friday April, 22nd.
RULES
COMPETITIONThe Tributes will have a variety of required events they must
participate in throughout the course of the week. Each Tribute is
required to be involved in at least two events other than the
competition itself, during the week. Even though the Tribute is not
required to attend all events, they will acquire double the individual
points for showing up. If the Tribute cannot attend an event they must
contact one of the members from the Capitol so we know to count them
absent. If this is to happen, they will not have points deducted, but will
not receive any points for that day. (Unless they received approval prior
to the event by the Capitol-examples will include: sickness,
University-sponsored event, etc.)

Event Description
The Capitol is proud to present a Hypnotist at this year?s
Hunger Games to help inspire pride throughout each district.
Prior to the unveiling of the hypnotist, the winner of the
Talent Show and the Superlative Awards will be announced.

In celebration of the conclusion of the Hunger Games, the
Capitol invites each District to a grand banquet.
District Awards will be presented and the winning District
will be announced.

CATEGORIES
Each District shall nominate two candidates (from any District) for each superlative award
category. After all submissions are received, the Capitol will compile a complete list of all
nominations. This list will be available online for all citizens of Fraternity and Sorority Life
to vote on.
The voting form will be available via The Capitol's various social media platforms. Voting
will close at 5pm on Friday, April 1st.
Superlative awards will be announced before the Hypnotist on Friday April 22nd.

Participation
5 players from each District will be needed. There will be separate
rounds for sororities and fraternities.
Objective
The team that gets the middle of the rope over the line will win the
round.
Rules
Only five members from each District can participate.
PAINTEDTWISTER
Participation:
3 players from each District will be needed for Painted Twister.
Objective:
Each player wants to be the last one in the game. The mat will be
slippery and paint will be put on the matching colored circles.
Rules:
A District member is out when their knee or butt touches the ground.
Participation
5 players from each District will be needed. There will be separate
rounds for sororities and fraternities.
Objective
The team that gets the middle of the rope over the line will win the
round.

The Game
Section 1: Object of the Game
Each team will take four buckets and try to attack other canoes with water until their canoe is sunk, or
they are the last one standing. In order to move around in the pool, teams must use their hands or
buckets. Up to four canoes can be in the pool at once.
Section 2: Starting the game
Teams will be drawn randomly prior to entering the canoes. Each team will consist of two members
from a fraternity and two from a sorority.
Participants will climb into their respective canoes from the edge of the pool while the
canoes are in the loading zones of the pool. Canoes will be surveyed for proper equipment making
sure all safety requirements are met. After canoes have been inspected, they will be spread out
evenly throughout the Battle Waters of the pool. The Capitol will blow the whistle and the battle will
begin.
Section 3: Timing Regulations
Teams may engage as soon as the whistle is blown. The Battle area will be condensed at different
points in the competition. The Capitol will bring the lanes in and instruct boats to move as they set
the new boundaries throughout the playing time.
Section 4: Restrictions

Once your canoe has been sunk or your team has been disqualified, you must get out of the canoe and
guide it to the loading zone of the pool.
Section 6: Scoring
The winning canoe will receive points for that fraternity and sorority for each round.
Throw water from inside the canoe out into the pool or in other canoes.
Stand on the edge of the canoe or cross beams at any time (players may only stand
on the floor of the canoe).
Penalty: The team committing the foul must fill up all of their buckets and pour it
into their boat as a warning. The next offense will be disqualification.
Jump out of the boat at any time during the battle.
Physically contact any member or equipment from another team to keep them
from attacking or defending.

  • 16. 1. One Tribut, in good standing, from each District must compete. Assistance will be allowed. 2. Each Tribute will be judged in four categories: (Costume relating to the Tribute?s District, Group Dance, Talent, Question/Formal Wear.) 3. Talents must last longer than 2 minutes, but no longer than 6 minutes. 4. Each Tribute will answer two questions during the Formal Wear portion (one serious and one entertaining). 5. Everything required for the show (music, costumes, etc.) must be brought to the dress rehearsal time and must be approved by the second practice. 6. All Tributes will participate in the Group Dance. The dance will be taught at two practices. If a Tribute misses a practice, it is their responsibility to get help from either another Tribute or the choreographer. 7. No participant may consume drugs or alcohol before the event. 8. The winners of the competition will be declared the Champion of the 2016 Greek Week Hunger Games, which will be announced at the Hypnotist on Friday April, 22nd. RULES COMPETITIONThe Tributes will have a variety of required events they must participate in throughout the course of the week. Each Tribute is required to be involved in at least two events other than the competition itself, during the week. Even though the Tribute is not required to attend all events, they will acquire double the individual points for showing up. If the Tribute cannot attend an event they must contact one of the members from the Capitol so we know to count them absent. If this is to happen, they will not have points deducted, but will not receive any points for that day.   • 20. Friday 6:30 pm Union Ballroms Event Description The Capitol is proud to present a Hypnotist at this year?s Hunger Games to help inspire pride throughout each district. Prior to the unveiling of the hypnotist, the winner of the Talent Show and the Superlative Awards will be announced. Sunday 5:00 pm Union Ballrooms Rules All District members must purchase the Platinum Package in order to attend this event. All attendees are to be dressed in pin-attire. A slide-show of each District?s graduating seniors will be displayed during the banquet. Districts must submit this slide-show to the Capitol by Friday, April 1st. Event Description In celebration of the conclusion of the Hunger Games, the Capitol invites each District to a grand banquet. District Awards will be presented and the winning District will be announced. Points No points will be awarded for this event.

After all submissions are received, the Capitol will compile a complete list of all nominations. This list will be available online for all citizens of Fraternity and Sorority Life to vote on. The voting form will be available via The Capitol's various social media platforms. Voting will close at 5pm on Friday, April 1st. Superlative awards will be announced before the Hypnotist on Friday April 22nd. TUG-O-WAR
  • 26. OLYMPIC RULES TUG-O-WAR Participation 5 players from each District will be needed. There will be separate rounds for sororities and fraternities. Objective The team that gets the middle of the rope over the line will win the round. Rules Only five members from each District can participate. PAINTEDTWISTER Participation: 3 players from each District will be needed for Painted Twister. Objective: Each player wants to be the last one in the game. The mat will be slippery and paint will be put on the matching colored circles. Rules: A District member is out when their knee or butt touches the ground.

  • 28. The Game Section 1: Object of the Game Each team will take four buckets and try to attack other canoes with water until their canoe is sunk, or they are the last one standing. In order to move around in the pool, teams must use their hands or buckets. Up to four canoes can be in the pool at once. Section 2: Starting the game Teams will be drawn randomly prior to entering the canoes. Each team will consist of two members from a fraternity and two from a sorority. Participants will climb into their respective canoes from the edge of the pool while the canoes are in the loading zones of the pool. Canoes will be surveyed for proper equipment making sure all safety requirements are met. After canoes have been inspected, they will be spread out evenly throughout the Battle Waters of the pool. The Capitol will blow the whistle and the battle will begin. Section 3: Timing Regulations Teams may engage as soon as the whistle is blown. The Battle area will be condensed at different points in the competition. The Capitol will bring the lanes in and instruct boats to move as they set the new boundaries throughout the playing time. Section 4: Restrictions Teams may not: Section 5: Sunken Ship Once your canoe has been sunk or your team has been disqualified, you must get out of the canoe and guide it to the loading zone of the pool. Section 6: Scoring The winning canoe will receive points for that fraternity and sorority for each round. Throw water from inside the canoe out into the pool or in other canoes. Stand on the edge of the canoe or cross beams at any time (players may only stand on the floor of the canoe). Penalty: The team committing the foul must fill up all of their buckets and pour it into their boat as a warning. The next offense will be disqualification. Jump out of the boat at any time during the battle. Physically contact any member or equipment from another team to keep them from attacking or defending. Penalty: Disqualification
