As USC Canada’s Program Officer for Public Engagement and Internship Manager, I had the pleasure of
working with Tippy Scott as she completed a 289.5 hours unpaid Public Engagement internship with us
from February to mid-May this year.
During her time at USC Canada, Ms. Scott’s responsibilities were primarily centered around developing
new and improving existing educational material (i.e. educational games, PowerPoint presentations,
display material, etc.), but also included holding kiosks at events and helping us enhance our new social
media monitoring. Besides being easy to work with, Tippy Scott’s commitment to excellence, ease with
graphic design software and computers not only made her a great candidate for the job, it also
contributed to strengthening our educational material and broadening our reach.
As her direct supervisor, I found Tippy Scott to be consistently positive, professional, adaptable and
