How students’ respond is a huge challenge to face specially with the first
week !. Being a teacher for grade six and above is totally different than
being a teacher for grade one. The first thing that I was focus on in my
first week is make students familiar with me to let them respond to me
normally . when I was teaching grade six is take too long to let students
feel free with me as a teacher . Its took a 3 weeks to let them feel free
with me as a teacher which was unhelpful in the last mints . specially ,
that they was understand what happening around them. But it’s totally
different with grade one . I told them my rules with the first lesson that I
gave them. That is to show the pupils that they will deal with the teacher
not a young leady . Some of the students try to push me by not giving an
attention to my rules. That was a challenge to me as a new teacher. But I
tried to apply my rules with them to show them that I am serious about
my rules to let them over this attitude. In addition, I worked hard to be
gentle with them when they made a mistake in their behavior or while
they answering. That because they are still in grade one and if I push
them hardly that my affect their emotion . which is it a very important
part for them. As a teacher I need to make this part safe because in this
age they start to build themselves for moving to the next stage .
