1. This week is Holy week in the Christian religion.Tessa
Kennedy tells us about how that impacts our
community during this week.
Typically Easter for the non-religious person is all about
the Easter bunny. In the religious community it is also a
time of celebration, but for a different reason. Holy
week starts on Palm Sunday and ends on Easter.
This is also one of the most popular times of the year for
someone who is not as active in church to come to a
Church Service. Pastor for the South Toledo Cedar
Creek, Andy Fortney tells us about the crowd that
comes in this time of year.
Andy Fortney: We get a lot of people that are called
Christmas and Easters they basically come 2 times a
year: 5 seconds
Cedar Creek is not the only ones who get the Christmas
and Easter crowd. The CatholicCommunity receives the
C and E as well as other denominations in the Christian
community. Priest for the Little FlowerCatholic parish
Dave Nuss, says that it is great to see people back at
church.
Then, we also attract this week those who are not as
engaged, maybe they are disconnected from their
faith maybe they’ve been questioning their faith for
what ever reason that their have been some
measure of distance but its beautiful to see how
2. peoples minds and hearts continue to be touched
where they continue to feel drawn to come and be
apart of the community that gives praise to God at
Easter time. : 24
