NSF is an independent Federal agency funding research grants in science, technology, engineering and
mathematics.

• Providing program management and subject matter expertise in the areas of Equal
Employment Opportunity (EEO), Civil Rights, Compliance, and Alternative Dispute
Resolution (ADR);
• Conducting Civil Rights compliance reviews at NSF-funded colleges and universities;
• Advising senior leadership and supervisors on the integration of civil rights philosophies;
• Managing and negotiating NSF’s ADR contract as Contract Officer Representative;
• Leading organizational change through the implementation of ELI’s Civil Treatment for
Leaders™, conducting training for new supervisors, and creating policies;
• Developing solutions to systemic issues through the elimination of barriers to equal
employment and bullying in the workplace, preparing 462 Report and No FEAR reports;

• Transformed efficiency of the EEO and Civil Rights Complaints programs through the
addition of new protocols, automated tools, training, and procurement of contractors;
• Redesigned and expanded the ADR program on dispute resolution activities, facilitated
settlement agreements, increased settlement rate to approximately 30%, saving
approximately $15,000 annually in contractor fees plus additional monies of employee
time, potential findings of discrimination against the agency, and attorneys’ fees;
• Fostered collaborative relationships with agency technical experts in employee relations,
labor relations, legal counsel and the Union in order to resolve workplace issues;
• Created and disseminated policy through systems reviews, trend analysis, research,
leadership of task groups, management inquiries, and cross-sectional studies;
