2. Men Matter
Protecting the men you love
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer among American men. A
recent study by Olympic College revealed that men are more likely to seek
medical care if their spouses or partners encourage them to get checked.
Attend this FREE evening of health talks to learn about prevention, signs,
and symptoms. Early detection and attention are key to catching prostate
cancer early on when treatments are most effective. One of our physicians
will be available to answer any questions that you may have. Men will also
have the option to get a free screening at this event.
Breast Health and You
Lifesaving skills for all ages
Studies have shown that the most aggressive forms of breast
cancer develop in a woman’s 20s. Whether you have a family
history of breast cancer or not, it’s important to know basic
prevention tips that could save your life. In observance of
Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Harrison experts, alongside
Olympic College nursing students, will explain signs, symptoms,
and offer prevention information, including how to perform a
proper breast self-exam at home. This event is suitable for all
ages and especially helpful for parents and educators.
