My Opinion on Gun Control
My opinion on gun control is rather simple. I don’t feel an extreme need to ban automatic
weapons. The people that have to go through the process to legally acquire them have a tough time
getting them and I feel the government has very appropriately handled those matters thus far. I would
strongly encourage mental examinations on the purchasers of guns. I wouldn’t require gun training. That
does not boost the morals of an individual person but just their knowledge of a gun. It can normally be
assumed the purchaser of a firearm picks one they know how to handle. If it was one for hunting
purposes they would have to get a hunting license anyways which would handle that dilemma.
