A student wrote about a blue eye brown eye classroom experiment where the teacher separated students by eye color to demonstrate discrimination. The student felt it was an enlightening experience, and that the teacher was dedicated to seriously addressing discrimination. While the student thought they may not have "broken" as quickly as others, they recognized it is difficult to judge from the outside, and appreciated the teacher taking initiative to help students realize they should not mistreat people for characteristics outside of their control.

I feel as though it was enlightening. The teacher did break the students quick so she was clearly
dedicated to a serious approach with her cause. I think she had legitimate causation to behave the way
she did. As a student to be honest I wouldn’t think I’d break so quick but it is so easy to judge on the
outside looking in. I may break quick I don’t know. People are ruthless in this world and someone just
took initiative to try and make sure people realize it and don’t judge and mistreat one another by
characteristics out of there control.
