2. Nino Surguladze
• Nino surguladze is a Georgian mezzo-
soprano. She was Born in Tbilisi, Nino
Surguladze studied singing with Guliko
Kariauli at the Tbilisi State
Conservatorie. After winning a prize at the
Francisco Viñas International Singing
Contest in Barcelona, she earned her a
scholarship at Accademia Treato alla
Scala, where she studied with Leyla
Gencer and Luciana Serra. She made her
operatic debut as Cuniza in
Verdi's Oberto and Zulma in
Rossini'sL'italiana in algery in Milan in
2002,[ and since appeared in many opera
houses around the world
• She has appeared in the Italian
film Rigoletto a Mantove ( and the Georgian
films Valsi Pechoraze and Metichara. In
2010, she was awarded the Presidential
Order of Excellence by Mikhail Saakashvili.
[Nino Surguladze is a founder of the charity
foundation Desire Tree, which aims to
provide assistance to children in need of
medical care.
3. Khatia Buniatishvili
• Khatia Buniatishvili is a Georgian concert
pianist. She began studying piano under her
mother at the age of three. She gave her
first concert with the Chamber Orchestra in
Tbilisi at the age of six. From the age of ten
she gave concerts in Europe, Ukraine,
Armenia, Israel and the USA. She
graduated from the Tbilisi Central Music
School, then entered the
Tbilisi State Conservatory in 2004
• Buniatishvili, who has described the piano
as a "symbol of musical solitude",[chose the
piano over the violin despite her perfect
pitch. She and her (older) sister Gvantsa
learned the piano together and performed
duets at home.
• Buniatishvili has played with, among other
orchestras, the Orchestre de Paris under
Paavo Järvi, the Los Angeles Philharmonic,
the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the
Orchestre National de France under Daniele
Gatti and the Philharmonia Orchestra in
London. She has also performed chamber
music with musicians including
Gidon Kremer and Renaud Capuçon.
4. Sopho Khalvashi
• Sopho Khalvashi also sometimes known as
simply Sopho, is a Georgian musician of
Laz heritage.[citation needed] It was
announced on 12 December 2006 that she
would represent her home nation at the
Eurovision Song Contest 2007. The song "
Visionary Dream" was Georgia's first entry
into the contest. The song was previously
called "My Story".
• She claimed third prize at the commercial
song contest "New Wave" 2006 in Jūrmala,
Latvia. After success there she signed a
contract with Russian management agency
"ARS" led by Russian composer Igor Krutoy
. She then returned in triumph to her
homeland, where she immediately received
an offer from the Imedi TV channel to host
local talent show "On Imedi's waves".

In the semifinal on 10 May 2007, she
finished eighth; as one of the Top 10
qualifiers she secured a spot for Georgia in
the final. In the final on 12 May 2007, she
finished 12th, earning maximum points from
one country, Lithuania.
5. Sofia Nizharadze
• Sofia Nizharadze was born 6 February 1986
in Tbilisi, Georgian SSR, USSR) is a
Georgian singer, actress, and songwriter
who represented
Georgia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010
with the song Shine. Sofia Nizharadze was
the judge of the TV show Georgia's Got
Talent.
• Sofia's vocal range is light lyric soprano.
• At the age of three, Nizharadze started
performing as a professional with very
positive reception. At the age of seven she
was invited by Jansug Kakhidze, a
prominent Georgian conductor and author of
famous sound tracks for Georgian cinema,
to join a children’s music studio where she
took the lead as a vocalist for various shows
and TV projects. In 2004, she got a main
part in Gerard Presgurvic's musical (Original
Russian Version, Operetta Theatre, leading
cast). In 2005, she reached the final in the
New Wave Festival in Jūrmala, Latvia.
• In 2008, Nizharadze gave up her career in
Russia and returned to Georgia as a
consequence of the war between the two
countries, and started a career in Georgia.
• She performed The National Anthem of
United States of America during the official
visit of Vice President Joe Biden to Georgia.
6. Nikoloz Rachveli
• nikoloz rachveli is a Georgian conductor,
composer and cultural manager. He
composes and arranges for theatre and film,
using themes from Georgian and non-
Georgian composers. Memanishvili is the
Principal Conductor of the Georgia National
Symphony Orchestra, and Head of the
Georgia National Music Center. He has
been leading the
Mikeladze Symphony Orchestra since 2007.
• . In 2010 he was awarded a best theatre
music prize for the David Doiashvili
production of Macbeth in the Croatian
International Theatre Festival.
• Memanishvili is an author of original
orchestral works, and a conductor of Tbilisi
Music and Drama Theatre's performances
of well-known compositions. His musical
Keto and Kote, staged in Tbilisi and Batumi
in 2010, was a combination of
Victor Dolidze’s opera and A. Kereselidze’s
cinema version of the piece. After Keto and
Kot he orchestrated Vera District Melodies –
original music by G. Tsabadze which was
used in the film under the same name in
2012 – which was staged in Tbilisi and
Batumi by producer and choreographer
Redha Benteifour.
7. Katie Melua
• Katie Melua is a Georgian singer, songwriter
and musician. She moved to
Northern Ireland at the age of eight and
then to England at fourteen. Melua is signed
to the small Dramatico record label, under
the management of composer Mike Batt,[4]
and made her musical debut in 2003. In
2006, she was the United Kingdom's best-
selling female artist and Europe's highest
selling European female artist.
• In November 2003, at the age of nineteen,
Melua released her first album,
Call Off the Search, which reached the top
of the United Kingdom album charts and
sold 1.8 million copies in its first five months
of release. Her second album,
Piece by Piece, was released in September
2005 and to date has gone platinum four
times.[ Melua released her third studio
album Pictures in October 2007.
8. Anita Rachvelishvili
• Anita Rachvelishvili is a Georgian operatic
mezzo-soprano. Anita Rachvelishvili first
studied the piano and then entered the
Tbilisi State Conservatoire where she trained
as a singer. She made her debut at the
Georgian National Opera Theater as
Maddalena in Rigoletto while still a student.
She went on to further study at the Accademia
Teatro alla Scala, Milan, and was chosen by
the then music director of La Scala,
Daniel Barenboim, to sing the title role in a new
production of Carmen at that theatre. This
production of Carmen in 2009 with tenor
Jonas Kaufmann as Don José was televised
worldwide and brought Anita Rachvelishvili to
international attention. Praised for her strong
voice and striking stage
presence,Rachvelishvili has performed the role
of Carmen at leading opera houses including
The Royal Opera, London, the
Canadian Opera Company, the
Metropolitan Opera New York, and others.
Other roles at leading opera houses include
Orfeo in Orfeo ed Euridice, Dalila in
Samson and Delilah, Dulcinée in
Don Quichotte and Končakovna in Prince Igor
. In 2016, Rachvelishvili appeared as Amneris
in highly acclaimed performances of Aida at
the Paris Opera. She has appeared in DVDs
of Orfeo ed Euridice and Prince Igor and sang
on an album by Italian progressive rock band
Profusion.
9. Tamar Iveri
• Tamar Iveri is a Georgian opera singer.
She was born in Tbilisi, the daughter of the
singer Avtandil Javakishvili who was also
her teacher.
10. Tamta Goduadze
• Tamta Goduadze known simply as Tamta,
is a Georgian pop singer, famous in Greece
and Cyprus for her participation in
Super Idol Greece, in which she placed
second,[1] and for her later singles such as
"Ftes" (Faraway, originally performed by
Gala), Agapw (Wanna Play originally
performed by RBD), "Den Telionei Etsi I
Agapi", "Agapise Me", and "Tonight". When
Tamta was 22, she and her family moved to
Greece, where she decided to enter the
singing competition Super Idol, a reality
television show produced and presented by
Mega Channel and based on the British
show Pop Idol. She managed to take
second place in the finals.
• In January 2007, Hellenic Radio and
Television (ERT), announced Tamta's
participation in national final to be the Greek
representative in the Eurovision Song
Contest 2007. She placed third of the three
participants, and Sarbel went to the
Contest.
