2. Mission Statement
Make A Film Foundation (MAFF) is a non-profit
organization that grants film wishes to children
with serious or life-threatening medical
conditions by teaming them with film
professionals who help them create short film
legacies that offer hope and build self-esteem.

4. Short Narrative Film Program
Our short narrative program surrounds an ill
child with a team of notable writers, actors and
directors to produce a high quality film which
stars the child and showcases their unique story
or script.

Short Narrative #1
Eighteen year-old Jabril Muhammad has Sickle
Cell Anemia. He wrote and starred in his film
alongside Kerry Washington (Django Unchained)
and Michael Ealy (Think Like A Man). Directed by
Rodrigo Garcia (Albert Nobbs).

6. “Deep Blue Breath”
Short Narrative #2
Eleven year-old Clay Beabout has Vater’s Syndrome
and has survived over 40 surgeries. Clay starred in
“Deep Blue Breath” with Sean Astin (Lord of the
Rings), Miguel Sandoval (Medium), Natasha Gregson-
Wagner (High Fidelity) and Ernie Hudson (Ghost
Busters). Directed by Patricia Cardoso (Real Women
Have Curves).

7. “The Magic Bracelet”
Short Narrative #3
Rina Goldberg was fifteen when she wrote her story "The
Magic Bracelet.” It was adapted by Academy Award
Winner Diablo Cody (Juno), starred Bailee Madison
(Parental Guidance), Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit), Jackson
Rathbone (Twilight Film Franchise), James Van Der Beek
(Dawson's Creek) and Academy Award winner J.K.
Simmons (Spiderman/Juno). Directed by Jon Poll (Charlie
Bartlett).

8. Vidz-4-Kidz Documentary Shorts
We team a group of children who have medical
challenges with Film Mentors and hand-held
video cameras for a few hours to create short
documentaries about their lives. We edit the
films & screen them in a red-carpet event for the
children. Everyone receives awards and a DVD
of the films.

9. Vidz-4-Kidz Documentary Shorts
This program is in high demand because it can
be easily facilitated at a low cost in one day,
impacting 10-20 children at one time. The
children who participate are visibly transformed
by the experience of sharing their story and
being celebrated on film.

10. MAFF NEPAL PROJECT
MAFF was recently asked to participate in its first international endeavor
in Nepal. We partnered with two organizations: Autism Cares Nepal and
Self-Help Group Cerebral Palsy Nepal to create documentaries shining a
light of awareness on Autism and Cerebral Palsy in Nepal, the families,
the children and how the earthquake and other issues continue to impact
them. We hope to return this year to facilitate a screening & fundraiser.

Founder and Exec.
Director:
Tamika Lamison
She is an award winning writer,
director and producer. She
graduated from American
University with a BA in
Performing Arts. Tamika's first
screenplay, “Jar By the Door”
was a Sundance Finalist and won
several awards including the
Gordon Parks Independent Film
Award. Other awards include:
the ABC/Walt Disney Fellowship
in screenwriting, Guy Hanks and
Marvin Miller (Cosby) Fellowship,
AFI's Directing Workshop for
Women Fellowship and the Irvine
Film Festival's Philanthropic
Award. She is passionate about
service and making a difference
with film.

project with his brother, Dr.
Sanjay Gupta (CNN), which
debuted at South by Southwest
2010.
