AOC adds BDL as Saudi Arabian distributor

Monitor vendor AOC has boosted its reach in Saudi
Arabia, striking a distribution deal with BDL to expand its
channel presence in the Kingdom. AOC hopes that the
appointment will allow it to increase its in-country
market share and take advantage of the growing Saudi
Arabian IT market.
Suchit Kumar, deputy general manager for sales in
Middle East, North Africa, CIS and Central Asia at AOC,
said: “We are confident the reach of BDL in Saudi market
will provide us the desired penetration and help AOC to
prop up its market share in the region’s biggest market.”
AOC cites figures showing that the Saudi Arabian IT market is expected to grow at a
compound annual growth rate of 13.4% during the next three years, pushing the market
size to US$10 billion per annum by 2013. AOC is focusing heavily on the Saudi Arabian
market and has also appointed a country manager based in Riyadh to support
distributors, resellers and dealers across the kingdom.

AOC is the house brand of TPV Technology, the world’s largest manufacturer of computer
monitor. BDL was established in 1998 in Saudi Arabia and has extended its coverage
across the GCC and Egypt. The distributor now has more than 200 staff and boasts
operations in Riyadh, Jeddah, Khobar, Dubai, Bahrain, Kuwait and Cairo. BDL currently
serves more than 2,700 resellers, according to the distributor.
