Hello, First I would like to thank you for allowing me the opportunity to introduce myself and help you achieve your goals. My name is Eric Dixon I’m a certified IAAF/USA
Track & Field Youth Specialization Level 2 coach, USA Track & Field Level 3 Sprints/Hurdles/Relays coach and IAAF Level 5 Elite Sprints/Hurdles coach. I’ve
coached many; nationally ranked youth athletes, World and American masters record holders. I’m certified to coach Elite Youth and Adult athletes for
National/International/Olympic level competition via USA Track & Field (USATF) and the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). I have competed
and coached Track, Speed and Agility for over 35 years, concentrating mainly on sprinting events (40m-800m). In recent years, my educational focus has been on sport
specific/events, Speed Training and Sports/Strength Conditioning Training. I’ve’ trained youths and adults in Baseball, Football, Soccer, Lacrosse, Gymnastic (vaults and
floor), Tennis, Volleyball, Skeleton, Cross Country and Track.

One of the biggest misconceptions for coaches and athletes is that there is some universal training method that applies to everyone. Sorry, there isn’t! Everyone is different,
their speed, strengths, recovery period, weakness and abilities are unique to the individual therefore their training program should also be unique. What's required is a training
method that's individualized based upon the athlete’s sport, specific ability’s and their position/event(s). This program is designed to do just that! In order to see consistent and
continuous improvement you must have an organized training program. You must know where you started and where want to go (a goal or destination). For most athletes the
overriding principle is the End Result.
The Bios/Training profile will tell us both where you started and how your training is progressing. I will compute your target training times for various distances. Therefore,
while training with your High School or Club team you will know exactly what you need to work on (strength, Speed, Agility, etc…) how to train and when to train it! This
program is designed to help you meet your targeted goal(s) and ensure that you do not burnout before the end of the season, High School, College, or Elite level!!!
However, to get there we need a Road Map to tell us where we are going, what path we will take, and when we expect to arrive. We also need to track where we’ve been, what
works and in some cases what didn’t work. The Periodization Table is our road map it is our training plan for the season tracking every aspect of your training. It will tell you
when to do technical training, speed endurance, speed work, strength training and how much to ensure you peak at the right time and again not burnout.
Of course, you have to train to get faster. To get speed you have to practice speed! In addition, you have to do the right type of Strength & Speed training based upon your sport
and position. Therefore, we have devised a method for classification of skills needed for you to excel in your sport. The Running Form and the Sport/Position Form will set
the criteria for what’s needed to take you to the next level. They will tell us what biomotor abilities i.e. speed, strength, speed endurance, strength endurance, endurance, agility
and coordination that’s needed for your sport and position. Once you start training with your School or Club Team I will monitor your progress via website or email. The
program will allow you/me to keep track of your training by filling out the “Training Forms”. This form will track your distance, times and rest period which will tell me if
you’re still on target by cross referencing this form with your Bios/Training Profile. All put together to ensure that you know when to train, how to train and the right
intensity to train to peak at the right time…
When you include the Weight Training program and the Nutritional program (from our Certified Sports Dietitian) you have the total package for training.

2. Elite Training Program: This training program is a living and breathing document. As you grow and evolve so too will it grow and evolve.
The Elite Sports Training Programs: are different training programs for Track (Sprints), Baseball/Softball, Football, Soccer, Lacrosse, Tennis, Volleyball, Skeleton,
Surfing, Cross Country, Weekend Warrior, etc… it can be designed for all sports based on your specific requirements.

The Training Profile section will list your current times and
projected times, calculated target times (Low and High) to
hit while training with various distances during your
workouts. This form is updated as the athlete progress.

The Training Form/Timing Form is used track your training
times or progress at your High School, Club, Tachyon TC,
Practices or on your own.
The Running Form will tell us what you need to work on
regarding your sprinting form, body strengths and weakness.
The Sports/Position form will tell us what abilities you need
for your position and where you are in comparison to that
position. This is Event specific to your sport(s)!
The workout Form (online Training) will give you your
weekly/monthly workouts. This form works in conjunction
with the Bios/Training Profile and will tell you what
distances to run. It will also list your Reps, Sets, and Rest
periods for the training sessions.
These forms are used to keep track of your progress i.e.
practice times and meet times. I need to see if the athlete is
hitting their practice target times and if not why? What
adjustments need to be made in the training plan?

What meets/events you plan to compete in and when you
should peak... It is basically a road map for your training
program. It is used to track all phases of your strength, Speed,
Agility, Endurance, Technical, Core work, Weight training,
Nutrition, etc… This form tracks all your training phases of
your annual training cycle i.e. Preparation Phase to
Competition phase. It will also become your historical
document buy tracking your training progress i.e.…what
works and what didn’t work.

The Weight Training form will list the weight training
exercises assigned to the athlete at various phases in their
training plan. This form also tracks the athletes progress i.e.
weights, reps, sets etc… during phases of your Strength
Training Program. It will tell you when to lift heavy, when to
lift light, when to work the CNS and when to build Muscle.

Yes, weight training is different for each sport!
Think about it: each sport has different
requirements and movement plus individualization
based on the athlete’s strengths, weakness, etc...
Therefore, there should not be a cookie cutter
program for serious athletes.
