2. 1. GANG NEWS CLIPS MONTAGE
FADE IN FROM BLACK:
NARRATOR
Gang Crime.
Forever engrained in our society.
It’s turned from a mere nuisance.
To an epidemic, leaving society on
the brink.
Police don’t have the resources.
And politicians don’t have the
answers.
FADE OUT.
2. EXT. 2KEYS SIGN - DAY
FADE IN:
LONG SHOT:
Camera is tilted upwards towards sky. Camera slowly tilts
down. Ben and Jordan walk either side of 2keys sign.
BEN
The 7 years war between 2keys and
the CHC is known as the most brutal
and high war ever recorded in
British history.
JORDAN
Despite an eventual CHC victory,
the community always feared 2keys
would be back. 20 years later, they
are. I’m Jordan Jones.
BEN
And I’m Ben Trant.
BOTH
And this, is Ben and J’s on gangs.
Canford Heath edition.
Ben and Jordan walk off, right of camera.

ESTABLISHING SHOT:
JORDAN
(voiceover)
This is Verity Park. Enjoyed by the
locals throughout the year due to
it’s tranquility.
PAN RIGHT
Ben and Jordan slowly walk towards camera.
JORDAN
But it wasn’t always that way.
Infact, it was once the
battleground for the seven year
war.
BEN
And after receiving a number of
letters and emails about the new
2keys, we decided it was time we
got involved. So we’re here for the
next 14 days to find out not only
who the new 2keys are, but what
their intentions may be.
JORDAN
Over the next few days, we will be
interviewing a number of ex and
current gang members from different
gangs in Canford Heath. We will
also be finding out about the
victims of the war and delve deep
into the history books about the 7
year war.
BEN
But first, I spoke to our resident
crime expert Ruff McTuffen, for his
opinion on the situation.
Ben and Jordan stop walking. Camera continues moving back.

5. INT. PHOENIX CENTRE - LIGHT
LONG SHOT
Ben shakes hands with Ruff and shows him inside room.
BEN
(voiceover)
Having studied Drug Law at Boscombe
University, worked in a Mexican
Cartel and spent four years as an
extra in Prison Break, Ruff is well
placed to answer our questions.
OVER THE SHOULDER:
Ben and Ruff McTuffen are sat down.
BEN
Thanks for joining us Ruff.
RUFF MCTUFFEN
Happy to help as always Ben.
BEN
You know why you’re here obviously,
gang crime is a huge issue here in
Canford Heath and having just heard
the opinions of the locals, I was
just wondering your opinion?
RUFF MCTUFFEN
Well the public are quite clearly
scared; and if I’m honest I can’t
really blame them. We still don’t
know what this new gang’s aims and
motives are and, without this
knowledge, the police are rather
powerless to do anything.
BEN
2keys are clearly back and in force
by the looks of things, do you
think they ever were gone?
RUFF MCTUFFEN
Well like you said, they’ve made a
strong return and, with a gang like
2Keys, they have a deep rooted
history here. I don’t doubt there

were people who held the values of
the gang close to their hearts and,
it just looks like they’ve found a
reason to come out of the shadows.
BEN
We’ve seen a lot of different tags
around the area lately and I’ve got
a few of them here. What do you
make of these?
CENTRAL TWO SHOT
RUFF MCTUFFEN
Well, that one in the bottom right
is evidently that of 2Keys. I
unfortunately can’t tell which
member that belonged to or what
status they had in the gang though.
As you’re likely aware, 2Keys
suffered from many leadership
changes through the period of
decline and, we as historians
concluded that this was likely the
main factor in their disappearance.
However, these to the left are
slightly different in style but
appear much fresher. Only time will
tell whose it is.
BEN
Are the appearence of these tags
reflecting the incoming threat? If
so, should the local community be
rightfully concerned?
RUFF MCTUFFEN
The community have every right to
be concerned and be asking
questions of the authorities. There
hasn’t been a police presense to
match that of the gangs at the
moment. As for the tags, there have
always been tags around the local
area but the suspected 2Keys
attacks have so far been little
more than basic thuggery. I suspect
this to be their method of drawing
out the CHC for a war.
(CONTINUED)
6. CONTINUED: 5.
BEN
What do you think we can do about
it?
RUFF MCTUFFEN
Make sure you stay in large groups
as you traverse the park and don’t
enter after dark. I urge the public
to call the hotline and report any
gang violence to the police, we can
do little but tackle the threats as
they come.
BEN
And finally, do you think the
people of Canford Heath can rest
easy tonight?
RUFF MCTUFFEN
For the time being yes, I think
that, until the CHC and 2Keys begin
conflict once more, there isn’t too
much to fear.
BEN
As always Ruff, it’s been a
pleasure.
Ben and Ruff shake hands.
6. EXT. VERITY FIELD - DAY
TWO-SHOT:
Ben and Jordan are standing in the open field.
JORDAN
Next, a touching interview with
Seth Bacey, an amateur DJ and
victim of 2keys. A warning, the
following may be distressing to
some viewers.

BEN
Thanks for joining us. I understand
this must be very difficult for
you.
VICTIM
That’s OK. I (.) I want p-people to
know about this.
JORDAN
That’s very brave of you and we
genuinely appreciate this. Can we
start at the beginning? Just before
the attack?
VICTIM
Yeah, um. Well I’d just got back
from the BIC...gig hadn’t gone too
well. Um. I decided to stop off at
the chippy, been there a lot
lately, got a thing for, for. Extra
cheesy chips!
Seth consoles himself, seemingly embarrassed by the truth.
VICTIM
It was then, having just taken my
first bite, that I decided I needed
a savaloy with vinegar. As I turned
around I saw him, tall and
menancing. He shoved me to the
floor and, oh gawd.
JORDAN
What Seth? What happened?
VICTIM
He stabbed me with it. (pause) My
own chip fork!
Victim is now distraught, crying heavily into his arm.
BEN
Seth, I’m so sorry. Is that why you
have splinters?
VICTIM
Yes. Straight into my earlob.
Nearly bled out.
JORDAN
But you survived the ordeal
thankfully. Had you ever had any
encounters with 2keys before?
(CONTINUED)
8. CONTINUED: 7.
VICTIM
No, never. I was completely
innocent, they didn’t have any
reason to attack me.
BEN
Do you think maybe it was more of a
personal attack? Maybe a grudge or
a warning perhaps?
VICTIM
It could be I suppose. He looked
angry, the man who attacked me, he
must have had a reason. I wish I
could ask him.
The victim is seen shaking hands with Ben and J at the end
of the interview and getting up from his seat. The footage
is in slow motion and black and white.
BEN
(voiceover)
After his interview, Seth agreed to
try to meet with his aggressor.
Using an ancient communication
system called BBM, we arranged for
his aggressor to meet us.
8. EXT. GYM CARPARK - DAY
TWO SHOT
Ben and Jordan are discussing the recent interview with Seth
Bacey and whether or not they will be able to track down his
aggressor. In the background a man dressed in gangster style
clothing emerges from the gym and makes his way towards his
car.
JORDAN
Wait, it can’t be
Jordan pulls out the artist impression of Frank and studies
it intently.
BEN
I think it is.

Frank continues to move towards his vehicle; not even
acknowledging Ben and Jordan. Ben and Jordan decide to give
chase and meet him as he’s getting into the vehicle.
JORDAN
Hiya Frank it’s Ben and Jordan,
we’ve recently spoken to Seth
Bacey. Does that name ring a bell?
Frank looks back angrily at Jordan and proceeds to get the
into van
FRANK
(growling)
No it doesn’t mate
BEN
Well that’s funny because we have
evidence to suggest that you
attacked him in Verity park, with
his own chip-fork no less
FRANK
(firmly)
The kid deserved it, he was on our
turf
JORDAN
And what do the CHC have to say
about this?
FRANK
They won’t have anything to say
once we’re done with them. If you
think we’re a threat with a
chip-fork, then wait to you see
what we can do with a knife.
Frank gestures to his hip, implying he has a knife
FRANK
Now get gone and gel away before
you regret it fam.
Frank drives off and Jordan and Ben chase after him, still
shouting questions

9. INT. BRIDGE - DAY
Ben is leaning against railing and moves off.
BEN
Fascinating stuff. Later, we spoke
to a Vietnamese farmer struggling
to make ends meet.

10. EXT. VIIN LYEE GREENHOUSE - DAY
FADE IN:
LOW ANGLE SHOT
Ben and Jordan are walking up to greenhouse.
JORDAN
(voiceover)
Viin moved to England from Vietnam
and spent years successfully
growing commodities for the
CHC. But, during the seven years
war, he lost his farmland to a
raging fire caused by a ciggy butt.
Having escaped with only his hat
and a handle of cash, Viin now
spends his nights working on Magna
Academy’s land.
LONG OVER-THE-SHOULDER SHOT:
As they approach, the door swings open. Viin is still before
moving out of doorway and turns to face them.
BEN
Hi there Viin, I’m Ben and this is
Jordan.
Viin Looks up from working on the land
VIIN
Ah yes. Hello friends, welcome to
my farm.
Viin then shakes hands with Ben and Jordan

return from the school I am allowed
to farm in the unused greenhouse
for my friends.
Viin Shows the team the amounts of growing troughs, the
camera is following close behind, has all three in shot.
BEN
So is this your business now? Is
this your lively hood?
Viin Looks at Ben
VIIN
Er this is one of three huts, I
have one in er, Poole High,
Parkstone and Broadstone common.
JORDAN
We understand you came under attack
in the mists of the 7 year war. Do
you mind telling us how that was
for you?
Viin Looks down, covering his face with his hat, Camera
zooms in slightly.
VIIN LYEE
It was horrid, one minute I was
ready my communism weekly magazine
and then everything was on fire. I
lost my hut, crops and most of my
possessions.
Ben&J are nodding.
BEN
We’re sorry to hear about that
Viin, do you know who carried out
this reckless attack?
VIIN
Er, someone told me after that it
was a ciggy butt from passing 2keys
forces.
JORDAN
How do you feel about knowing it
was 2keys?
(CONTINUED)
12. CONTINUED: 11.
VIIN
Anger, frustration, confusion and
disappointment
BEN
Do you think that 2keys will carry
on causing similar events like this
if they are not quelled and brought
to justice?
VIIN
Absolutely, if they are not stopped
then Canford heath will return the
chaotic times like in the 7 year
war
JORDAN
If there is anything you wanted to
say to 2keys what would it be?
VIIN
Fuck off me farm you scum
11. EXT. VIIN LYEE HOMELAND

Viin Lyee then moves towards the water pump with Ben & J in
pursuit.
VIIN LYEE
This is our water pump; this is
where we get water from to drink
and use in our water slides in
summer.
BEN
So where does this water come from?
Viin then turns to Ben
VIIN LYEE
It comes from an underground river.
But er, recently we’ve had to start
buying bottled water from the
Cranbourn village shop as the river
is quite low this time of year.
(Slight Pause)
Now I’ll take you to our forge
Cuts to Viin Lyee walking though the forge door
VIIN LYEE
This is our forge; here we make a
variety of items for our village.
Such as er buckets, rakes and
hammer heads.
Ben is nodding while Jordan is admiring the pieces
BEN
How is production at the village
since the 7 years’ war?
VIIN LYEE
E-er, demand is much lower now for
our metal products, we rarely get
enough money these days from both
our crops and made products made

war it’s been hard, we’ve lost a

made a substantial loss.

Viin’s village was settled by his
brother and sister back in 2003,
from then they have aided CHC in
the trade of commodities such as
Coffee and tobacco.
Collection of footage of the farm, Viin lyee working making

12. MONTAGE OF CANFORD HEATH SHOTS
BEN
(voiceover)
The threat of a 2keys return has
caused many residents, who had
experienced the 7 years war, to
flee. Those that have stayed, have
not yet accepted the horrors that
threaten to unfold.
13. EXT. TIME LAPSE SHOT OF CANFORD HEATH
JORDAN
(voiceover)
With the local authorities only now
starting to mobilise, schools are
unprepared and under resourced to
de-radicalise Year 9s. There is
little doubt war is on the horizon.
And there is little anyone can do
about it.
The sun sets over Verity Park / Canford Heath.
