TGS, in partnership with First Geo, is pleased to announce hiQbe™, a regional high resolution, geologically consistent
velocity model, produced using First Geo’s proprietary technology. Already in use throughout Norway, a cube is now
available for the UK North Sea. This can be distributed as Southern North Sea, Central North Sea and Northern North
Sea, or as a single cube.

Regional Velocity Cube

The cube combines hundreds of stacking velocities and well
check shot data into one regionally consistent velocity cube.
All of the data is pre-processed to provide a consistent and
accurate velocity model.

1. TGS seismic stacking velocities
2. Check shot/time depth data from released E&A wells
3. Seismic stacking velocities from released seismic data
Deliverables
1. Seismic processing stacking velocity cube without well
calibration
2. Average velocity cube without well calibration but with a
general well anisotropy correction
3. Average velocity cube with well calibration
4. All cubes will be in ASCII and SEG Y format, with a
resolution of 3,000 m by 3,000 m laterally and 100 ms two-
way-time vertically (from 100 ms down to 10,000 ms).
