5. The Kitchen Design
It took us 4 years to get land use permits.
This is the first of its kind in the County.
Inviting the public to experience a “mini
farm”, Agritourism center and to find a safe
place to start exploring what it’s like for
farmers, is a dream come true for a city girl
like Barbara. She says, “I wanted the country,
but not too much at once.”
In two weeks, we believe that we will break
ground.

6. What We started With
Here’s Barbara in 2003 laying out the first
irrigation. It was 5 years before she would
have her own. Before that she ran a 500 foot
hose from her neighbor’s hose bib, and
rotated the watering 4 hours at a time, row
upon row.
Now there are 24 rows of apricots, grapes,
berries and pomegranates on a timer.
7. What We have now. Yearly fundraisers with
grown trees and grapes to pick after dinner
