FIBA Mechanics Reminders

2. Running at the pace of the game
Failure to reach the end line ahead of the
play
Stepping onto the playing surface as
lead, during play in the offensive end.
Lack of dead ball hustle-walking and
reporting, trail position on F.T.'s
3. Going through the crowd to report
Walking up the court prior to an endline
throw-in being completed
Not using the reporting area, particularly lead
Not stepping down (Trail)
Not working the arc
Not placing throw-in at correct spot.
5. Wear the correct uniform (black shoes, black socks, black
pants, TABO jersey, TABO jacket, lanyard, whistle)
Hustle to the end line from old trail to new lead.
Know the rules relating to the shot clock, technical fouls
and unsporting fouls.
Put your open hand up to stop the clock on all violations.
Put your fist up on all fouls.
Use correct fingers / signals when reporting to the table
Do not reward the offensive player with free throws for
jumping into legal defenders
6. Deal with players that flop by warning and then issuing a
technical foul
Answer the coach's questions when asked in an appropriate
way and at an appropriate time (during a dead ball).
Address the coach's inappropriate behavior at the correct time
and in the correct way.
Do not talk to the coach during live ball.
If you call a foul, it's because you had an open look on the
play and it affected a player's RSBQ (Rhythm, Speed, Balance
or Quickness).
