ABSTRACT
I am convinced that the portion of any education system is to pass knowledge and to ensure that
students develop familiarity with the standards of thinking that surround their professional areas
as efficiently as possible. The Kenya’s, education system African Institutions of Higher Learning
have come under very serious scrutiny from education experts. The Academia, parents and
employers especially cry foul over the inability of graduands to fit into the working environment
and enormous investments they have to engage in retraining these graduands. Consequently the
call by experts to reevaluate and modernise learning experiences in African Universities. Beyond
the arising matter, I am more than convinced that the general concepts behind innovative
teaching methods remain relevant. This paper therefore calls for an overhaul of the
second-rate teaching methodologies and integration of the modern teaching approaches to
learning. Demanding that lecturers understand information technology systems in place that can
avoid gridlocks that might occur during the modern day student's' learning process. Consequently
this paper highlights the challenges experienced by African Educators in their quest to enhance
learning experiences through integration of modern technology
