combinations of these colours. As the
name indicates, they tend to make
you think of sunlight and heat.
Cool Colours are made with
blue, green and purple and other
combinations of these colours. These
colours have the ability to calm and
soothe. Cool colors remind us of the
water and sky.
5. Claude Monet was born in Paris, France on 14th
November, 1840 and died in 1926. His father had
a family grocery business and his mother was a
singer. Monet also had a brother.
He was a famous painter. He was one of the
founders of French Impressionist painting. The
term Impressionism is derived from the title of
his painting Impression, Sunrise. He liked nature
very much and had a nice garden in his house.
Many of his pictures were painted in his garden
because he loved painting nature and
landscapes.

It depicts a garden with many flowers
and trees. There is a bridge and a pond. The
painter used warm colours to transmit light
and heat, perhaps because it is Spring. He
also used cool colours which make you feel
calm and relaxed.
