All bosses have their specific personal qualities that they worth; this
aids them to find out about the business that they are employed in.
Doing this will make the employers become more alert of what is going
on which will advance them more awareness and help to develop their
talents.
Self-motivation
 This is where somebody has possess anxiety about
succeeding something and is fit inspired by himself or
herself without of the repeated impact of anyone new
telling them what to do. This is certainly vital to any
employers as it displays that you have particular
desire and willpower to do the effort. e.g. a sportsman
would want to have some enthusiasm in order to carry
on his profession without any slacking and
negligence. This trait is a subjective skill for the
reason that it is up to the person as to whether they
are self-motivated or not.
Punctuality
 Being on time is also essential as this is built on
your judgement on different things such as being
early to work. E.g. if an educator is late to work
then she could miss her class which could affect
the pupils education.
Leadership qualities
• Leadership qualities is a variety of potentials for a
manager such as keeping their team well prepared and
making guaranteed that everybody in the group is
blissful. There are some abilities that every one should
have in demand to grow into a worthy spearhead and
these include: reliability, blameless communication
talents, commitment, time management and honesty.
This skill is both personal and technical attributes as
some individuals are indeed able to take governor of a
team and some folks could train to take control of a
group.
Respect
 This means having a optimistic sense about
yourself and others. Employers should be polite to
others and confidence in what they can do. In this
case assurance is mostly essential as it allows
giving yourself and everyone else equally. Respect
and mature helps to talk to customers with polite
manner.
Dependability
 This is when the manager counts on the workers to
do what is necessary for the business. Also is
when the proprietor beliefs the staff with certain
undertakings such as being prepared for exertion
on time and finishing all the firm duties requested
for the day. It can consist of helping others when
you’re done with your tasks, to make the boss
gratified. It shows your eagerness to work.
Problem Solving
 Being able to think about complex problems and
come up with quick solution is another valued skill.
Many employers will set problem solving task at
interview or assessment stage to check how good
potential employees are in this areas. Certain job
role such as programmer require problem solving
skills on an hourly basis so that will be heavily
emphasised in the job specification.
Determination
 Employers values determination as it shows that
someone is willing to stick with a task no matter
how difficult it becomes. Being determined can
also help you get through boring or monotonous
tasks that someone else may give up. Being able to
keep at something even it is something that you do
not like doing is a valuable skill to have to achieve
results.
Independent Workers
 Being independent and being able to take
ownership of tasks is something that all employers
will look for hiring more junior members of staff
this is even more relevant as employers do not
want someone working for them who needs
guidance on everything that they do and therefore
decrease the productivity of more senior staff when
guiding them.
Time management
 It is the act or process of planning and exercising
conscious control over the amount of time spent
on specific activities , especially to increase
effectiveness , efficiency or productivity. Time
management may be aided by a range of skills ,
tools and techniques used to manage time when
accomplishing specific tasks , projects and goal
complying with a due date.
Written Numerical and Verbal Skill
o Written Numerical - Using Mathematical ideas in the
work you are doing. E.g. : a scientist would need to
have mathematical knowledge in order to come up
with new equations. This a technical qualities because
an individual can progress their numerical competence
skills just by performing.
o Verbal Skills are being able to talk clearly and precisely
with the person you are taking to. E.g. : a teacher
would need to have these attributes as it is essential
that they are capable of communicating with the pupils
with no problems.
Planning and organisational skills
 Planning - Being able to come up with a plan of the
concepts you have come about with. You can also
use other skills to come up with these ideas.
 Organizational – Being able to keep the whole thing
arranged into the right places and not having a lack
of inattention. E.g. : a shopkeeper would needs to
keeps its drinks and foods in dissimilar groups.
Good working practices
 Everybody has a lawful responsibility to follow
this, and if an industry is found to be careless , it
can be impeached. It covers the storage and use
of tools , training, satisfactory facilities and
upholding a working atmosphere that is free from
dangers to health.
 The whole world has a duty to try to make the
workplace as harmless as they can. It’s
significant to have the highest standards of
health, security and cleanliness at all times. If we
didn’t, we would have:
 dirty workplace
 unprofessional employees
 Unsafe equipment
 illness and cross-infection
 a poor reputation resulting in loss of business or closure.
 There are a sum of reasons why
good working practices are
essential within an enterprise.
Firstly enterprises need to follow
to legislation which is a different
way of saying they need to stay
within the law. The business will
have set guidelines for what
dealings the staffs will need to
follow if there is a fire or another
purpose why they may have to exit
the building.
Health and safety legislation
 Health and safety is rules and measures envisioned to avoid accident or hurt
in workplaces or community environments. This is important for the reason
that following health and safety procedures is needed. If workers do not
follow it then an accident may take place and this would be breaking the
Well-being and Security Rule and this can look bad on the business all
because the workers did not follow process.
Why these attributes are valued by employers?
 I come to a conclusion that all the personal attributes and
good working practices are important in the IT sector. Every
employers should be aware of these as well as have them
within him/herself in order to be a professional IT worker.
