Projects Done
TITLE: UTMI (USB 2.0 TRANSCEIVER MACROCELL INTERFACE)
· Institute: DKOP Labs Pvt Ltd, Noida
· Duration: 6 Months (2nd January 2015- 30th JUNE 2015)
· Language & Tools: Verilog, Modelsim and Xilinx ISE 14.7.
· Team Size: 3
· Description: The UTMI defines the interface with which vendor ASIC implementations of
USB 2.0 protocol use the USB Transceiver Macrocell or UTM. The main use the UTM was
designed for is to divide clock domains of the UTM and the USB controller logic. It uses 8 bit
parallel interface to transmit and receivedata (USB2.0), registers which hold data bits in order
to stage transmit and receive data.It has the ability to switch between high speed (480 MHz)
and full speed (12MHz) to exchange data. The code is highly parameterized and reusable
which can further be used for developing the complete USB device stack. My role was to
design codes for the transmitter section which contained Hold register, Shift register, Bit
stuffing and NRZI encoding. Same was on the receiver section but in a reverse order of the
block mentioned just in the transmitter part.
TITLE: LINE FOLLOWING ROBOT
· Institute: ATECH Labs, Chandigarh
· Duration: 45 Days
· Language& Tools used : VHDL& Xilinx 7.2
· Team Size: 2
· Description:In this minor project, the idea was to receive control signals from IR module to
CPLD. This CPLD is used to control the signals of the robot that is to move forward, left, right
and stop. My role in this project was to build up IR sensors. The IR sensor detects the
white/black color and sends logic ‘0’ /logic ‘1’ to CPLD. Black color detection is being used to
control the rotation of motors.
