4. The ArmaLite AR-10 is a 7.62×51mm NATO battle rifle developed
by Eugene Stoner in the late 1950s and manufactured by ArmaLite.
In 1957, the basic AR-10 design was rescaled and substantially
modified by ArmaLite to accommodate the .223
Remington cartridge, and given the designation ArmaLite AR-
15.[2] ArmaLite licensed the AR-10 and AR-15 designs to Colt
Firearms.[3] The AR-15 eventually became the M16 rifle. On July 4,
1957, Fairchild ArmaLite sold a five-year manufacturing license for
the AR-10 to the Dutch arms manufacturer, Artillerie Inrichtingen.
5. The AR-10 has 4 major components
Upper Receiver Lower Receiver
The Stock The Barrle
6. The upper receiver is the top part of the receiver assembly.
The upper receiver mounts on top of the lower receiver and is
secured by two pins.
The receiver, legally, is the part of the firearm that carries the serial number
and that must be transferred through a federally licensed dealer.
7. In this design, the lower reciever mounts the recoil spring, magazine and
trigger group
The lower receiver is the part of your rifle that is generally considered to
be the firearm itself. the lower receiver is where you’ll find your weapon’s
serial number. The lower receiver is the bottom part of the receiver.
8. A stock, also known as a shoulder stock, or a buttstock, or is a part of a rifle
to which the barrel and firing mechanism are attached, that is held against
your shoulder when firing the gun.
The stock provides a means for the shooter to firmly support the rifle and
easily aim it. The stock also transmits recoil into the shooter’s body, and if
well engineered, can absorb and minimize recoil. A good stock can also
prevent slippage and provide for a more comfortable shooting stance.
9. A Gun Barrel is a basic firearm part. A rifle barrel may appear to be just a
round piece of steel with a hole drilled through its center from one end to
the other. Well, basically, that's what a rifle barrel is
10. I believe this is one for the best & most popular rifle that
everyone must have.
