streaming, can immediately be Encrypted to protect against hackers or internal theft. This will reduce your
company’s exposure to regulatory fines when hackers eventually breach your systems.
Once your data is reasonably protected and all locations of Personal Information are known, there will be time to
select when and where data can be temporarily decrypted for use, or totally decrypted off the grid for analytical
processing. Procedures to use decryption keys safely for individual transaction processing will be needed to support
Call Centers and similar processing requirements.
After initial discovery and protection of Personal Data, is the time to establish graphical interfaces for bilateral
communication with Customers to perform proper Consent processing and establish a mechanism for the citizen’s
“Right of Erasure”. A company must first have knowledge of where Personal Data exists before it can collect it to
satisfy a Right of Erasure request.
The final task is to control Third Party and Streaming/IoT sources of data to ensure your environment stays ‘clean’ and
