The 12" Optical media division came to its end of life in May 2007 and I was transferred to the UDO
division as a Machine Technician as no current supervisor positions were vacant. I ran and
maintained a Global hubbing and bonding machine until enforced redundancy on October 7th

In addition to the tasks I performed as a Mastering operator in Blackburn I was also responsible for
mixing chemicals (photo resist) for the Resist Master Preparation machine, developer solution for the
Master developer, fine tuning the Laser beam recorder and I also picked up some basic knowledge of
the electro plating process of glass master to nickel stamper in the plating baths
