1. Dear Friend,
With the season of giving right around the corner, we would like to wish you a merry and joyous
holiday! As we gather with our family and friends to bask in the pleasure of a home-cooked meal, the
warmth of hot chocolate in our hands, and share in one another’s laugher, we must remember that
there are many who are foreign to these heart-warming traditions. We invite you to share the spirit of
giving!
Every year the Legion of Good Will provides ____pounds of non-perishable goods to families living in at-
risk communities across New Jersey. As an international organization, we have distributed a total of
_______goods, understanding that hunger is an issue that challenges the world. It is difficult to imagine
that a mother and her children go to sleep each night cold and hungry, yet thousands of homeless
families do across the globe. Our organization witnesses it every day through our humanitarian and
hunger relief programs. This holiday, we are hopeful that we can help hundreds of families by providing
food baskets, but we can’t do it alone. We ask you to kindly open your hearts in our persevering fight
against hunger.
Your tax-deductible donation can feed an entire family; an act that they will remember as they finally
understand why the holiday season is meant to be a ‘merry’ time of year. Take a stance against hunger
and feed a family today.
• $15 provides a family with cooking essentials (sugar, flour, oil, and salt) and vegetables.
• $35 provides cooking essentials, vegetables, grains, and a holiday turkey.
• $60 feeds an entire family with one food basket.
Give the greatest gift of all this holiday; a chance for an entire family to fight hunger and have a holiday
worth celebrating. Thank you for sharing the tradition of giving with others and we wish you a very
merry holiday!
Our warmest wishes,
….
