Overview:
DesignBUILD has transitioned to become THE industry event for every
stage of the design and build process – from landscape to structural,
integrated technology solutions, through to the internal fit-out and design.
2015 was the largest event in recent years, with a show floor over 50%
larger than in 2014 and an 8% increase on visitors. DesignBUILD also
launched two new sectors to the event, Landscape Outdoor and Interior
Fixtures Finishes, making it the only business platform in Australia
dedicated to the entire architecture, building, construction and design
process across residential and commercial industry sectors.

4. SpeakerSeries
With each show floor sector accompanied by an education stream, the DesignBUILD
Speaker Series promoted thought provoking debate, engaging case studies, trend forecasts
and offered insights from key industry experts from all disciplines within the architecture,
construction and design community. Speakers included representatives from: BVN
Architecture, Houzz Australia, Norman Disney Young, Planet Ark, CSR and more....
LandscapeOutdoorArea
NEW FOR 2015 - DesignBUILD 2015 launched a brand new area dedicated to the
promotion of Landscape Outdoor design. This area was a home to over a dozen
displays showcasing the latest innovations in turf and flora, outdoor, furniture,
irrigation, heating, fountains, vertical gardens and more.
StructuralMaterials
Structural Materials took centre stage in 2015 showcasing the latest innovations
and products from concrete to facades, masonry and windows. New for 2015
was DesignBUILD’s partnership with Kaynemaile to create an entrance feature
constructed with their innovative seamless mesh, providing a unique facade to the
event and creating a lasting impact.
Internationals
DesignBUILD cemented its position as a world leading trade event
and a vital business platform to enter the Australian market in 2015.
International exhibitors at the show included companies from Austria,
China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, New Zealand, UAE and the US.

5. NetworkingOpportunities
Networking is a key feature of any industry event and
this year was no different. From networking functions
on the show floor to one-to-one meetings, invite-only
event and focus groups, DesignBUILD 2015 provided
a platform for the entire architecture and design
community to meet and get down to the business
of building.
InteriorFixturesFinishes
NEW FOR 2015 – Dedicated to all aspects of design
and interior fit-out, DesignBUILD Interior Fixtures
Finishes featured a collection of authentic, design-led
products, to inspire architects, designers, building
professionals and construction specialists in their
next project.
Technology
The Technology Zone showcased products from home
automation to intelligent building systems, 3D printing and
a dedicated BIM Pavilion. This year, the Luminova Technology
feature offered attendees a chance to step into another
reality – literally – through their virtual reality headsets. Using
the latest Samsung Headgear and Oculus Rift, attendees
could walk through architectural and construction concepts
and experience the space virtually.
