Negotiating is as essential as basic human functions like eating, breathing and being kind. It is based on experience, knowledge and communication. The goal of negotiating is to get what you want while maintaining a right view and attitude. One of Tolstoy's teachings emphasized the importance of cultivating kindness in relationships and focusing on invisible inner work of improving one's soul, which is the most important work. True freedom comes from living in truth and using intellect to overcome passions and emotions that can imprison us.
