1. My Opinion on Gun Control
I believe that as Americans, we have the right to bear arms. I feel that as long
as our weapons are being handled responsibly and with the appropriate amount of
training, that the gun issue should come to an end. The government already has
enough power in my eyes. No, a hunter doesn’t need a machine gun to kill a deer,
but penalizing those who have used their gun rights accordingly seems unjust.
American’s take pride in their guns.
Some find it to be a part of their way of life. Others find it necessary during times of
protection. After the numerous school shootings, so many people have decided that
there should be more gun regulations and restrictions. But why punish those who
aren’t doing wrong?
The government needs to put more pressure on the issues in the black
market, and those who use their guns irresponsibly. I believe that more detailed
background checks should be in order, and a psych evaluation too. There is nothing
wrong with making sure that those who decide on carrying a weapon should be not
only certified, but sane. Don’t put more restrictions on the good gun owners, put
more restrictions on those who aren’t capable of being responsible with a weapon.
