4. Female Foeticide
The Prenatal Diagnostic Techniques
(Regulation and Prevention) Act, 1994
 Provides the regulation of the use of PNDT for
the purpose of detecting genetic or metabolic
disorders or chromomsomal abnormalities or
certain congenital malformations or sex linked
disorders, and
 Provides for the prevention of the misuse of such
techniques for the purpose of prenatal sex
determination leading to female foeticide.

8. Sati
The comission of sati (prevention) act, 1987
• Toprovide for the more effective prevetion for the
commission of sati and its glorification and for matters
connected herewith incidental thereto.

9. Obscenity Modesty
The Indecent Representation Of
Women (Prohibition) Act to prohibit
indecent representation of women through
advertisement or in publications, writings,
paintings, figures or in any other manner and
for matters connected therewith or incidental
thereto.
