To whom it may concern,
This is to confirm the selection of Ms Sonia Hukil as a participant in the UNCTAD Youth
Forum, a new initiative that will be launched during the fourteenth session of the Ministerial Conference
of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD 14), to be held in Nairobi,
Kenya from 17 to 22 July 2016.
During the UNCTAD Youth Forum, youth from around the world will gather to debate about
education, more and better jobs, and government accountability, and work on the preparation of a Youth
Declaration that will be presented to thought leaders of UNCTAD 14 with the aim to promote youth
issues in the international agenda.
Over 3000 applications were submitted to UNCTAD and the participant is among the 250 best
young future leaders selected to come to Nairobi.
It would be appreciated if serious consideration can be given to the request of the participant in
the efforts to secure funding to cover their travel expenses for their trip to Nairobi. This will be an
irreplaceable opportunity for the participant to take part in a unique experience that will allow them to
exchange views with fellow youth and world leaders, and help start to shape the world we want.
This letter also allows the participant to register to the UNCTAD 14 Conference in Nairobi, and
serves as part of the immigration requirements to indicate that the purpose of the travel of the participant
