Ideas:
1. Giulia is sitting at home and breaking news comes on, showing
two kidnappers caught on CCTV, she realises by a fallen keyring,
push in to emphasise the mother looking and realising that it could
be her daughters, they later showed that it might be her daughter.
2. First scene will show over the shoulder shot of the two kidnappers
driving (with peaceful music to contrast the events that are about
to happen) and then the scene will move to quick jump cuts of
jasmine being kidnaped, these jump cuts will include her feet
walking, then her feet being tied in the back of a boot, her face
screaming, and her hands tied. Scene of “mum” calling daughter,
Flashback transition of her watching the news, then jumps to close
up of the phone ringing (L cut) while in the background jasmine is
being kidnapped. The scene can then jump to a scene of jasmine
alone in a warehouse tied up all alone, looking beat up. ​(initial idea
for opening scene)
3. Second scene will show Jasmine’s mum looking for her daughter
by herself because the police department was taking too long to
help her. A lot of medium shots and close ups will be used to show
her emotions, sadness, angriness and worry. She plans for

2. revenge, a lot of short and quick shots to emphasise the tension.
Jasmine tries to escape from the kidnappers, long shots of her
isolated in the basement and close ups of her trying to untie the
rope.

Setting:​ Inspired by the movie Taken.
Lighting:​ Low-key lighting to emphasise the darkness
and tension of the scene.
Costumes:​ Normal daily life clothing for the mother and Jasmine to
emphasise that the kidnapping was unexpected. The kidnappers
dressed in d guarker clothing and masks to show the audience their
sinister character.
Props:​ For kidnappers: car, rope, duck tape, chair, knives, and phone.
For mother: phone, car, gun, and tv.
For Jasmine: knife, and metal stick.
Acting: ​The kidnappers are very rough and brutal. Jasmine is an
innocent young girl who then shows the audience the power and
intelligence in her to be able to escape. The mother has a strong and
protective type of character who won't stop looking for her daughter, no
matter what.
