11. TIMES TABLES…
Learners will be provided with times tables in the numeric workbooks
1X table to 12X table
Mostly they will need to memorize these times tables. This may not be
an easy task for them. They love learning multiplication tricks.
WE WILL LOOK AT A FEW EXAMPLES OF THESE.
12. THEY PROBABLY ALREADY KNOW….
When you multiply any number by zero, the answer
is zero. E.g. (100 X 0 = 0)
Multiply any number by 1, the answer Is that
number. E.g. ( 200 X 1 = 200)
Three times tables is mostly no hard for learners to
remember.
13. Lets take a look at 5x table trick……
For any even number multiplied by five, half that number then add
a zero next to the answer.
For any odd number multiplied by five, half that number, then drop
the decimal point.
And it feels so good when they(kids) say……
