A graduate with a honours degree in Computer Science I have great analytical skills and am an excellent
team-worker also capable of working on my own initiative. Always committed to providing quality whilst
ensuring maximum efficiency. With a Forces family background I have had the opportunity to interact with

2. Work Experience:
Dec'15 - Present GEM & Arden, NHS Lincoln
ICT Engineer currently finishing off the tail end of a project replacing
monitors in GP surgeries and assetting new stock. Starting in mid-Dec I will
be joining a new 3+ month project imaging and setting up PC's, laser printers
and laptops in preparation for a roll out project going out to GP surgeries in
Lincolnshire and installing them on site. Will also involve migrating user
data and applications onto the new systems and troubleshooting any issues
as and whentheyarrive.
Nov'15 Cerco IT Recruitment/ Vista
IT Engineer refreshing EPOS terminals in Next store. Similar to the Halfords
job below involved driving to customer site, sorting out new equipment and
replacing the various EPOS terminals throughout the store. Handing over
the newly installed equipment to back-office IT staff to run tests and
configure the terminals.
Oct'15 – Nov'15 Cerco IT Recruitment/ Fujitsu
IT Engineer refreshing EPOS terminals throughout the midlands in Halfords
stores. Involves driving to depots to pick up equipment and return old stock.
Once at the store I dismantle the old EPOS terminal, install the new one and
perform various tests to ensure functionality. Some of the old EPOS
terminals are re-used within the store and require setting up as new
terminalswhichalsoincludespatchingintothe store network.
June'15 – Oct'15 GEM & Arden, NHS Lincoln
ICT Technician brought into refresh PC's and laptops for the LCHS trust
upgrading from Windows XP to Windows 7 operating systems. Similar to
the previous project I'm imaging and configuring computers using SCCM,
migrating user data and installing configuring NHS software packages.
Installing PC's on site in various health centre's and hospitals
troubleshooting where necessary. Involves some active directory work and
asset management also. So far have surpassed expectations and am
significantlyaheadof the schedule.
July'14 – Dec'14 GEM,NHS, Lincoln
ICT technician brought in to refresh PC's throughout various Lincolnshire GP
practices. So far I've been imaging PC's from bare metal to preconfigured
systems and also travelling to sites to replace the existing PC's, migrating
user data and performing additional software installations and
configurations. Troubleshooting any issues if and when they arose.

May'13 - June'14 Took some time-out to help my parents renovate their house in Scotland as
well asmovingdowntoLincolnshire inFeb2014.
September'12-April’13 Simbo Solutions,Grantownon Spey
Self-employed offering IT services. From virus removal & data recovery,
transcoding VHS home videos to DVD's to repairing faulty hardware and
fixing broken iPhone screens. I have provided useful services for customers
requiring a broad range of ICT solutions including setting up wireless
networking infrastructure and creating secure VPN links for small
businesses.
3. April'12-August'12 Contractor, Inverness
Was invited to returninto the media licensing team working on the Highland
Council roll-out (see below) as part of phase 2 of the project. In addition to
performing the same duties as before I also was responsible for testing
software for suitability on the new systems as well as building, configuring
and installing desktop systems for use as high-end CAD workstations. At the
same time I also configured portable hard-drives with the software and
drivers individually tailored for engineers to use for on site software
installation. I also assisted on site, installing and configuring PC's/laptops
and supporting the troubleshooting team against any issues that arose
during the changeover process. The contract ended successfully ahead of
schedule.
July’11-March’12 Cerco,Inverness
Part of the Highland Council Roll Out project sub-contracted through Fujitsu
using Cerco as a recruitment/employment agency. Was initially employed
as a network engineer surveying, configuring and installing networking
equipment in schools and council offices. After a couple of months that part
of the project was put on hold indefinitely and I was transferred into the
media licensing team. There I was responsible for validating software
licenses for many schools in the Highland region and making the software
available for suitability testing with the new computers the schools were to
receive. Role endedatsuccessful conclusionof phase 1of the project.
March’10 – January’11 Strathspey Mushrooms,Grantown on Spey
Part time sales/van driver. Worked a 30-34 hour week covering the highland
region, taking orders and supplying various hotels, restaurants and B&B’s
with various quality products including oils, vinegars, mushrooms, fresh
herbs and more. Responsible for maintaining customer relations, handling
cash orders, invoicing customers and stock control on the van including
placingorderswithwholesale suppliersonaweeklybasis.

Ad-hoc work helping a local businessman to set-up a new shop for caravan
accessories and other services. Purchased and set-up PC’s, configured a
large A3 colour printer for photographic services and also created several

Full time software developer. Brought into the company to migrate existing
DOS software into 32-bit WindowsTM
environment using Borland Delphi, role
subsequentlyexpanded to creation of new flagship products to support new
featuresof manufacturedproductsandprevioushardware.
Was a developer in recent years of large software project from conception
through to initial release. Acted as lead developer, build manager, software
archive controller and consultant on further feature developments in the
software product. As latter stages of the project involved handing over to
colleagues in our sister company Secure Meters and merging functionality
with their own software features I travelled on many occasions to India to
provide support and guidance to the software development and testing
teams.
In addition to my job responsibilities I also helped colleagues with software
installation and general IT support. I have advised on and purchased
equipment for staff and performed some limited network management
activitiesonbehalf of the software department.
