This is a trick in the Glory of Rome game that uses a glitch to send troops out to wilds to "graze". While they are out there, they will not consume resources. Even though only 6 hours is selected, they will stay put until recalled.

Glory of Rome: Grazing Your Troops to Save on Food Consumption.pdf
1. Troops consume a lot of food in Glory of
Rome making it difficult to grow when they
are consuming food faster than you can
make it. By “Grazing” your troops, or
sending them out to a wild, they stop
consuming food and will stay there until
recalled.
2. Step 1: Select a wild that is about 10
spaces away from your city. If you
select one too close, a hostile player
can deduce that you are grazing your
troops there, attack and kill them.
Step 2: Make sure you can capture the wild you are
going to attack by having an open spot in your wilds.
Check this by going to your Palace in your city. Click on
it and select “Details”. Select the “Wilds” tab. Verify
that you are not at your limit of wilds that you can own.
If you are, you will need to Abandon one.
3. Step 3: Click on the wild to bring up the
March Selector. Click March
Step 4: Select a low level General. If
you send out your top General, they will
not be available to fight.
Step 5: THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT.
Read carefully. On the pull-down
4. tab that says “Round Trip” click
the arrow and select 6 hours.
Step 6: Select the troops you wish to
send out to Graze. It is recommended
that you keep a few wagons and other
troops to help you level your General or
move resources. But if you send them
all out, you can always recall them.
There is a food cost to send them out.
You can see that these few troops cost
2.4 million in food to send on the
attack. Because of that, you don’t
want to keep recalling and sending.
5. Step 7: Click “March”
Your troops will march and capture the
wild you have selected. Even though you
selected 6 hours, they will not return until
recalled.
You can see the march on your Screen
marked as “Decamping Soon”. If you
forget what troops are out there, you can
click on the march and a dialogue box
opens with the information.
