2. ANK as an organization was established in 2004 by a group
of like minded individuals who wanted to be agents of
social change to bring smiles and opportunities to people
who where on the margins of society so that they could
benefit from the paradigm changes that were taking place
in the Indian economy and society. It was registered as a
society in Delhi. It has geographical coverage of its
operations in – South Delhi, North Delhi, East Delhi, NCR
(Noida and Ghaziabad). It is registered under Section 12A
and 80G of Income Tax act and also registered under FCRA
Act, Govt of India.

3. The belief behind starting ANK was that quality education is the only medium that can
improve the living standards of the disadvantaged population. It is the most powerful tool,
which can equip them to make informed and intelligent choices about their lives and future.
ANK believes that education is the only weapon to fight poverty and truly empower the
children who tomorrow will be the face of India. ANK seeks to achieve a better tomorrow
through the medium of education and unleash the power of knowledge that is inaccessible
to millions.

13. Livelihood
• A 360 º Approach to skilling
– Vocational training in isolation leads to a skilled individual but rarely
makes people from the bottom of the pyramid job ready.
– They need to be espoused with soft skills, life skills and confidence to
be able to face the outside world.
– Ank imparts the above mentioned skills to each of its vocational
training students to make them ready to compete with compatriots.
– These skills have also been the binding force for students to come to
the center and learn.
14. Livelihood
• Vocational Training Center at Rohini Sector-3, and
Samaypur Badli Delhi.
• These vocational training centers are in operation
since September 2013. At this center we are training
the underprivileged youths on Electrician skills. This is
a TATA Power DDL initiative. The course curriculum
has been prepared by TATA Power DDL. The center
has been set up in Old NDPL buildings, making them
safe and good infrastructure. Each year we train more
than 240 youths on electrician skills. Our placement
ratio is more than 85%. This is a placement linked
project. TATA Power employees volunteer for this very
regularly to make this project more successful

15. Livelihood
• Vocational Training Center at KHODA.
• This vocational training centers has been recently
started in February with the support of Xceedance, a
startup Indian company doing high end analytics. At
this center we are training underprivileged youths on
Electrician skills. The target is to train 60 youths on
electrician skills as a pilot project and then scale it up
in Noida as well as Bangalore. This is a placement
linked project. XCEEDANCE volunteer for this very
regularly to make this project more successful

16. Livelihood
• Vocational Training Center at KHODA.
• This vocational training center is with the support of
GlobalLogic GlobalLogic – an US based Software
R&D company under their CSR activity.
• At this center we are training underprivileged youths
on English and Soft skills. The target is to train 120
youth on these skills and make them job ready.
Volunteers come to this project regularly for soft skills
training and motivation to the youth.

17. Education
ANK Bose Learning Center @ New Ashok Nagar
• This project we have started in September 2016 in
association with BOSE Corporation – an US based
leader in sound technologies under their CSR activity.
At this center 120 underprivileged children are enrolled
and we are providing them education. All the children
enrolled at the center are also taught computers to
make them ready for the digital world. Half of the
children enrolled at this center are out of school
children and the other half of the children are school
going (all girls) and attending remedial classes at our
center. Like all other centers here also we have child
centric education approach and we aim for hilostic
development of the child.

18. Education
Learning and Development Center @ Khoda
• This project was started in February 2016 is association
with GlobalLogic – an US based Software R&D company
under their CSR activity. At this center 210 underprivileged
children are enrolled and we are providing them education
and soft skills training.
The morning batches at the center have out of school
children coming to get ready to join school and the second
half has remedial classes for children in school to enhance
learning. Through the day children who are older come for
learning English and Computers. Like all other centers
here also we have child centric education approach and
we aim for wholistic development of the child.
• GlobalLogic employees from their Noida office visit the
center frequently and volunteer almost every week.

19. Education
• Remedial Center @ Rohini and Samaypur Badli
• This project we have started in September 2013 as part of
CSR initiative of TATA Power DDL. The center is located within
the Indira Camp J.J Colony, Sector-3 Rohini. 90% of the
children enrolled at this center are from Schedule Caste
community. 125 children in the age group of 7 tp 12 are
enrolled in the center. We are providing remedial (Tuition)
classes to these children. The children are enrolled in the
nearby Government Schools in the grades 2nd to 7th.. We have
full time dedicated teachers at the center who help these
children to do well in their school classes. Most of these
children are first generation learners in their family so we also
take the responsibility of being the second parents for these
children.

Learning Center @ Mammura, Sector-66,Noida.
• This project we have started in
January 2015 is association with Kronos Solutions –
an US based Software company under their CSR
activity.. .At this center 126 underprivileged children
are enrolled and we are providing them education. A
small reading room is also in place where the
community children can come and read books. Half of
the children enrolled at this center are out of school
children and half of the the children are school going
and attending remedial classes at our center. Like all
other centers here also we have child centric
education approach and we aim for hilostic
development of the child.

21. Education
• Remedial Education Center at Maidan Garhi :-
We are starting this project in the beginning of year
2012. In this project 50 underprivileged children will be
enrolled at our center at Maidan Garhi, Delhi. We have
worked in the nearby areas since 2004. We have
mainstreamed thousands of students into the
Government schools of the areas. With this project we
plan to work with those students who are facing
difficulty in coping up with the school curriculum. We
will be providing them remedial education for one year
so that they don’t drop out from the school.
• Our partner on this project is a Swedish organization
based in Stockholm, called “ School by School”.
22. Education
Learning Centers @ Sadarpur and Barola in Noida
• This project was started in August 2014 with the
support of iGATE. These centers are together catering
to 300 children in need in the area. These centers
apart from enhancing learning of in school children,
mainstreaming of children not in school also focuses
on their nutrition with the support of mid day meals.
• Since iGATE has been taken over worldwide by
Capgemini, they have adopted the program and many
of their volunteers come frequently to interact and
celebrate with the children.

23. Capacity Building
• Training to Primary School Teachers :-
ANK has trained 300 MCD Teachers on the topic “IT in
Education”. During this training, primary school
teachers were trained to use IT as a tool to educate
the children. The teachers took very good interest in
the training. The training was conducted at SCERT,
Moti Bagh, Delhi.
• ConnectIT workshop for NGO’s in Delhi :- In
Association with NASSCOM Foundation, ANK
conducted a 4 day full time ConnectIT training for the
NGOs working in North India. 84 NGO representatives
took part in the training program. We trained them on
effective IT skills and other issues related to good
governance in the NGOs. It was a 4 day full time
training program for NGOs.
24. We have a team of 30 full time employees who are mostly social
development professionals. 8 of them are post graduates in
streams like Administration, Development Communication, Social
work, Library Science etc. Others are graduates. The team
brings in diversity as well as expertise in various fields which
contributes to the richness of ANK.
Apart from the employees there is a core group of 32 volunteers
that participates in enriching the experience that our beneficiaries
have at our centers. We also have a good number of
international volunteers who come in and contribute once a year.
