TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
Re.: Miss. Shrouk Ehab Mostafa
This to confirm that the above student carried out a summer project at the Institute of Design,
Robotics, and Optimisation (iDRO), School of Mechanical Engineering, at the University of
Leeds during the summer of 2016.
She was involved in a specific project as it is described below:
The focus of Shrouk’s work was on the development of a ‘Simulator for Human Movements’
for the visualisation, analysis and control of human walking activities in real-time mode. Her
work was linked to a large EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council)
funded project titled ‘Wearable soft robotics for independent living’.
The above student worked very enthusiastically and independently on her project requiring
moderate guidance on her specific tasks. During the project, she demonstrated to have
excellent skills in data analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving.
I would strongly recommend her for any postgraduate research study, or an industrial job as
she is conscientious and confident, and when it is required she asks for help or assistance to
make sure the job is done properly.
Overall, the student demonstrated to have the required skills and knowledge of an excellent
engineer and researcher. Thus, I believe she has an outstanding career ahead of her either
in academia or industry.
If any further information is required, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours Faithfully,
Professor Abbas A. Dehghani-Sanij
