under the vision of Dr. Homi Bhabha.
At TIFR, we carry out basic research

(DST), GoI, which came into being in
1968. It has been pursuing basic
researches to unravel the orogeny of
majestic Himalaya and provide

seismogenesis, geodynamic
processes, climate-tectonic
interactions, evolution and extinction
of life, ore formation, glaciology, river
system, natural hazards (landslides,
floods, and earthquakes),
anthropogenic impact etc. towards
the well-being of population and safe-

structures in the Himalaya and
adjoining areas.
5. DELHI INSTITUTE OF
PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES AND
RESEARCH
It is one of the flagships of DPSR University,
was originally established as Department of
Pharmacy at Kashmiri Gate Polytechnic in
1964 is one of the departments of Directorate
of Training and Technical Education. In 1972,
the department was later on shifted to Pusa
Institute and then in 1979, to present lush
green of 10.5 acres campus at Pushp Vihar,
New Delhi. From College of Pharmacy it was
upgraded and now emerged as Delhi Institute
of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research
(DIPSAR) vide gazette notification of July
2004, under Department of Training and
Technical Education, GNCT of Delhi affiliated
to University of Delhi. With the establishment
of First Pharmacy University of India, Delhi
Pharmaceutical Science and Research
University (DPSR-U) as per the Govt.
