Precise speed control is essential to maximizing tool life and controlling precision
machining of surfaces. The feed system is a linear advance design which permits
accurate indexing in ±0.002” (±0.05mm) increments. This “Micrometer” index
gauge allows for precise machining operations, giving the operator excellent control
when material removal is critical to maintain tubing lengths. The TSE 1.0 offers fast
production operation plus easy handling, improved finishes and consistent cuts. It’s
ideal for contractors, fabricators, production, and / or maintenance departments,
especially where automatic welding is employed.
The Wachs TSE 1.0 is a lightweight, hand held or bench mounted portable
tool designed for precision machining of square, burr-free faces on tubing from
.250” through 1.00” (6.35mm – 25.4mm) O.D. This unit features a unique hand
rotating collet closure system and stainless steel collets (standard). The TSE 1.0
utilizes a trigger activated variable speed electric motor.

The FSE 1.0 is the perfect tool for critical high purity fabrication where automatic
welding is used. The FSE 1.0 utilizes a trigger activated variable speed electric motor.
The unique micro-fitting and tube clamping system centers and squares automatically
on as little as .165” (4.19mm) grip length without deformation. The FSE 1.0 offers fast

The TC 4.5 tube cut-off saw is designed to produce precise 360º perpendicular
cutting of high alloy and stainless steel tubing, tees and elbows in ranges from
.500” to 4.50”. The unique self-aligning clamping system covers the entire range
without additional extensions.
The unit is lightweight, only 63 pounds and allows for quick and easy set up. In
addition, this saw has a 2 speed motor with variable RPM range. This feature is critical
for maximizing blade life when sawing duplex or other high alloy material. Band saws
and other methods typically produce cuts that are not perpendicular which require
additional machining and decrease tool life significantly. The TC 4.5 is a low cost
economical solution for anyone cutting sanitary or high purity tubes and fittings
especially prior to welding.

The Small Diameter Split Frame (SDSF) is an externally mounted machine tool
for cutting, beveling, and counter boring pipe from 0.50” to 6” (15mm - 150mm)
nominal O.D. The SDSF is also capable of performing socket weld removal and
chipless wheel cutting. Lightweight and flexible, the SDSF is optimized for low-
clearance environments.
The SDSF line offers simple setup and operation, featuring self-squaring clamping
systems for precise cutting results typically available only with fixed machine tools.
SDSF’s operate on air or electric power using standard Wachs motors and adapters. A
variety of tool slides and other accessories are interchangeable with all SDSF models.

TQ 1.0
The TQ 1.0 Coupon Cutter is a unique design, exclusive to E.H. Wachs. This
saw can be used to cutoff small diameter alloy or stainless steel tubes from
.125” to 1.00” (3.18mm – 25.4mm) O.D.
With a two axis cutting capacity, the TQ 1.0 will perform weld sampling or coupon
cutting on high purity stainless steel or high alloy tubing commonplace in the
semiconductor industry. The .030” wide blade produces a minimum kerf width critical
to weld sample inspection. It also makes stainless steel tube cutoff easy, eliminating
the deformed tube ends normally associated with hand operated wheel cutters.
