2. INTRODUCTION
Fresh produce worth INR 133 billion every year because of the country’s lack of adequate cold storage facilities
Initial investment costs are very high and require about INR 50 Million for a capacity of 6000MT
This cost is driven up by high land prices in India
Running & lifecycle costs is very high due to bad power supply forcing operators to have back ups
Lack Refrigerated transporters, trucks and bad costs add to running costs
High costs make it impossible for many players to undertake investments along with low rate of return
So keeping all this in mind Agro King introduced the concept of Multi Commodity Portable Cold Storage Containers
Most of the cold storages are single commodity oriented but Agro stars cold storage units are multi commodity & portable
The containers are can be stacked one upon another thus reducing the cost of electricity and total surface area of the facility
