This program is designed specifically for first responders who perform

The Meridian FPD certifi-
cation program is a pro-
gram designed to test
and verify FPD function
and performance.
The FDA produces
guidelines for perfor-
mance of FPD’s . As a
registered manufacturer
with the FDA , Meridian
follows these guidelines
when testing new and
pre-owned FPD’s
Current generation FPD’s
can have a life expectan-
cy of over 10 years if han-
dled properly.
FPD Testing Program
What do we test
When Meridian certifies a panel, it must perform to a set of minimum specifica-
tions as defined by the original equipment manufacturer. We also test areas that
are critical to the overall performance of the panel. The following is a sample of
additional tests we perform.
1. Optimized Input Dose :
Using a certified phantom, measure the dynamic range of the panel based on
dose input to signal output
2. Minimum Dose Input:
Using a certified phantom, measure the lowest dose to determine the noise
threshold.
3. Contrast:
Using a University of Leeds phantom, measure the following:
a. High Contrast Sensitivity, Low Contrast Sensitivity, Threshold Detectability,
4. High Contrast Resolution:;
Using a High Contrast Resolution Phantom, insure panel meets OEM Specifi-
cations
5. Uniformity
Using Image J Algorithm, insure panel uniformity in at least 4 quadrants
6. Mechanical, Battery and Visual Panel Inspection
