Shaun Valberg-Krishna worked as a Student Activities Assistant for the 2013-2014 academic year at the University of Salford Students' Union, where his responsibilities included communication, promotion, data collection, people management, and motivating students. As part of his role, Shaun helped promote the Sport England Sports Participation program on campus and supervised sport sessions. He was a committed, punctual employee who was key to the success of the program through his encouragement of student participation and coordination of activities when needed.

I can confirm that Shaun was a Student Activities Assistant within the Students’ Unions Activities
Department this year 2013-14. Shaun’s responsibilities were:

Shaun was a very committed to the role of Student Activities Assistant; he managed his time
effectively with his studies and also working up to 8 hours per week during term time. Shaun was
employed to help with the promotion of our externally funded Sport England Sports Participation
programme. His key responsibilities were to promote the programme to all students on campus,
supervise and organise key sport sessions, data collection and any other duties which we
requested by the Activities Manager. Shaun was a key member of our team this year, he was
punctual to shifts, encouraged all students to take part in the programme, and happy to coordinate
a session if needed. Shaun is polite, trustworthy, approachable and a much organised individual.
