bayes, decision trees, support vector machines), unsupervised learning (k-means clustering, dimension-
ality reduction) and reinforcement learning.
• Designed and implemented a compiler for an object-oriented language similar to Java called Irish Coffee.
Compiler was developed in Java to support lexical analysis, parsing, type checking, optimizations and
code generation. Optimizations include live variable analysis, loop-invariant code motion, register
allocation, dead code elimination, inline expansion, common subexpression elimination and instruction
scheduling.
• Implemented greedy algorithms, divide and conquer, dynamic programming and NP-complete prob-
lems. Developed design patterns (creational, structural, and behavioral), refactoring and UML.
• Designed and implemented parallel algorithms for matrix multiplication, sorting in C, C++ and MPI,
pThreads. Implemented eigenvectors and singular value decomposition (principal component analysis).
Implemented concurrency, scheduling, synchronization, memory management, filesystems, security and
networking. Developed graphics algorithms for 3D transformation, ray tracing and texture mapping.
• Implemented graph algorithms including dijkstra shortest path, minimum spanning tree. Implemented
sorting algorithms, context-free grammars (CFG) and parsing, balanced search trees, graph algorithms.
• Implemented maze solving algorithm to create a random maze and determine a path. Implemented
fractals, cryptography and compression in a functional programming language, Standard Meta Lan-
guage (SML).
