- Welcome everyone, today we are going to review Synergy, I know most of you have heard of it already so we will go over what it is, what I can’t do, pricing and also when it will be live. I do have Jim Middleton on the line as well just to make sure we are all on the same page. Please at any time, let us know if you have any questions. Geronimo and I will be presenting together. Let’s start with What is Synergy…
- Now the best way to explain it is to share with you a story about these three individuals who work in the same company…Katie, bob and seanna……
- Katie is a desk phone user. She is a call center team lead, she works part time, she’s old school and prefers to use her cisco desk phone…which she uses for conference calls with managers from HQ and other team leads…she also shares a desk with a coworker who works nights. As you can see this user would be a Cisco only user…
- In the same organization, you have Bob, he is part of the sales team. When it comes to communicating and collaborating, he uses his smart phone for calling through the Skype4B app, and of course he always has his laptop with him everywhere. And as you can see this user would be a Skype4 only user
- Also in the same company is seanna, she works from home once a week, and while at home or when she travels, she uses Skype4B. Now when she’s in the office, she uses her cisco desk phone. Now this user, will use both platform when it comes to communicating and collaborating
- So Synergy will allow 1 company to use both platforms together…your Skype4B user will be enabled to look up an employee and call them. And a Cisco employee would be able to do the same thing, along with 4 digit dialing
- This one company can also have a hybrid user, such as seanna to use both platforms…
- Now just to recap what Synergy is, it allows our customers to choose the best of both worlds, it allows them to have shared directories, cross platform dialing and for that hybrid user only, they can use simultaneous ring
