ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Data collection, report writing and database maintenance for hydrogeologic, geologic,
environmental and geomorphic investigations through the development of hydrographs, maps,
or other graphical illustrations using ArcGIS, Excel, Word or other programs.
Field work and data collection, including measuring groundwater levels, gravel sampling, well
elevations surveys, bank erosion surveys, groundwater quality testing in wells and other tasks
associated with hydrogeologic, geologic, and geomorphic investigations.
Data and document management activities, including, filing, scanning, organizing and various
types of data entry.
Water quality assessment studies for lakes and reservoirs. This includes calibration of water
quality equipment and collection of biological and water quality samples at various depths from
lakes, reservoirs and other surface bodies of water.
Recording water quality data including different levels of dissolved oxygen, turbidity and
temperature pH. Collection involves using turbidity meters, temperature loggers and other
water quality probe devices.
