Assistant Softball Coach August 2012-Present
With a direct report line to the Head Softball Coach/Associate Athletic Director, one is responsible for
the overall guidance and daily development of 25 student athletes, budget monitoring, and controlling
organizational spending to ensure it is within a $200,000 budget: Prepares expense reports, spending
ledgers created for each travel expense, and creates projects for costs for each fiscal year through
forecasting
Overseeing approximately 25 student-athletes, one’s day-to-day responsibilities include managing the daily
operations of the MVSU Softball program to include equipment inventory management, equipment
ordering, and processing.
Collects appropriate data and prepares order documents for all organization apparel and equipment.
Other duties further include: budget management and monitoring for each fiscal year.
Performs statistical analyses to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes in current budget and
makes recommendations for the next fiscal year’s budget.
Operations management: travel planning, notifying proper persons, and logistics.
Day to day office management: answering phone calls and scheduling meetings with all stakeholders of
the softball program (students, coaches, and administrators) providing feedback to administrators
regarding fiscal projections and planning.
Game day planning and management: organizing personnel, site administration, facility management,
field setup and maintenance; Ensures all constituents abide by organizational and departmental policies
and procedures.

Volunteer Operations Manager April 2011-June 2012
On a full time volunteer basis while in graduate school, one was responsible for assisting with the
management of all aspects of softball camps: camp advertisement, camp participant sales, and currency
management through camp store.
One is also responsible for overseeing computer video programs that stream live games to sponsors, fans,
and constituents’ families.

Student Assistant to the Director of Intramurals August 2008-May 2010
Responsible for the equipment inventory and disbursement of equipment for 5 intramural sports with
participation of approximately 300 individuals.
Assists with the sport’s season start up and promotion of calendar events. Serve as official and perform
other duties as assigned.
