3. At the turn of the 19th Century
a small group of individuals broke
all accepted convention and delivered
one of the most valuable engineering
achievements of all time. Despite
being told that it couldn’t be done
they built the very first lighthouse at
sea, making the treacherous waters
around the Bellrock safe. Their strength
of vision, innovative approach and
relentless resolve changed what was
believed possible forever. They refused
to accept the status quo. Over 100
years later the Bellrock lighthouse
remains an inspiration to those
prepared to challenge how people
think and strive for a better way.
